Zero difference to the club itself. Good thing for those who want rid of him if he goes more easily because a potential buyer has to pay less due to the fact he has less tax to pay on any gains. I think it's obvious he's mostly concerned about the money. Fairly simple, reasonable logic I'd have thought.

& just where would you think Newcastle might be without him then Steve? I didn't have him down for being that ignorant to be honest. I do, most people just listen to the sounds bites "he cleared the debt blah blah" but in reality when you start looking at things the debt is now worse. Gibson isn't going to check out AO.com or google search Swiss ramble. He'll just repeat what he has heard from Sky Sports news and other halfwit pundits who never research things. TBF there is a difference between the debt now and debt then. The debt now is a interest-free loan from the owner. Could easily be turned into equity, but that is not in the owners interest. With the loans he has a way to take money out of the club without paying taxes (the other way is paying the owner dividends or salary). I'm not an accountant so I might be wroong I think you're right. Also if it remains as a loan, if/when he sells, he has less liability for capital gains tax when he sells up. The loan portion is just a repayment of a loan. This ought to be a good thing from our point of view, means rather than converting to equity and sticking out for the long haul, he could have an eye on selling up in the future and sodding off. I might wrong too, like.

If it is basically the same job that he is doing now, he would be insane to leave Madrid to come here. Insane is a pre-requisite for this job, no?
-
If I had a choice I'd give this Paul Clement geezer the job: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/12/paul-clement-english-coach-real-madrid http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24032226 He understands the European "coach" job, that's what he is now. But I don't and we'll end up with someone terrible.

I think it's getting to the point where the anti Pardew stuff will begin to have an effect on the brand value and by association, a negative effect the sports direct associations. That will be the difference to Ashley. It's the thing he really cares about. While we are not worth much in advertising or shirt sales terms to his business in financial terms, it calls his judgement into question and his shareholders might begin to think twice. That's the only thing I think would make a difference. Unfortunately. And I'm probably wrong because he is nothing if not contrary.

Just incoherent. This thread needs to get back on track. So, Pardew. Give him another year to sort things out and get the team playing his way, right?
-
Are you trying to throw us off the scent zicomartin? You are George Caulkin and I claim my five pounds.
-
Just the company whoever set up the website used to buy the domain name and their details, means nothing imo. www.godaddy.com You think the whois references give you any idea of who operates a website? That isn't how the internet works.
-
What's either of those facts got to do with it?
-
http://sackpardew.com/articles/the-dreary-intercourse-of-pardew-football/ Reads like something George Caulkin might write. Maybe that's why it is anonymous? Someone who can't be seen to be involved?

Needs to be careful, New Zealand is an earthquake zone, might set one off.

December is a disaster. As is March and April.

8 year old boy rinsing me at playing Match Attax. He gave me Shola Ameobi though. Stitched up imo.

We've just brought Shola Ameobi on. We have no dignity either.
-
That would depend on whether you are in the real world or "newcastle-online". Was meh..... some decent runs by Sissoko but we look light upfront (again). I do hesitate to come on here during a match sometimes. Makes me wonder if I'm watching the same game.

I only found a stable stream 10 minutes ago. Have we really been that bad? The last few minutes didn't look that awful.

According to NUFC.com: Longest serving manager in the Premiership except Wenger, if I'm reading that right...
