    Hatem Ben Arfa

On NUFCTV, Pards said he hopes Hatem steps up to the plate on Saturday. Has he finally relented?

    Shola Ameobi

Does anyone remember the game against Wigan last year at the JJB? In the second half, he plucked the ball from the air beautifully, showing great technique. Then all he had to do was slip in Lovenkrands(I think?) but he ended up passing straight to their defender. Summed up Shola for me.

    Ravel Morrison

Why? We're talking peanuts for a kid touted as the next big thing. All this attitude bollocks is nonsense, to me at least. There have been so many good players who are also absolute cock ends. If he acts himself, or isn't producing the goods, we move him on for little, if not no, loss. We'd be mad not to take a chance on him. I just can't see why the biggest club in the country would be willing to let an 18-year-old's contract run out if he was that good, or they thought his attitude was retrievable. They've kept on plenty of players that people on here would turn their noses up at and won title after title, yet this lad isn't worth it? And though I'm sure you'll argue Nile Ranger isn't as talented (no idea personally), we haven't found it too easy so far to offload him. People know he's an arsehole who's been in trouble with the law and done nowt in the top flight, so why bother? We've already got our own promising young players who play in the same position, senior players who are good professionals and players stuck in the middle of that like Dan Gosling. This is exactly the same situation as that transfer IMO; all about gambling on a cheap option that might make us some money rather than spending the money on the actual needs of the team and squad. +1
  4. Nonsense, at least you get to see this goal in another angle.
  5. Tough to do when the town is boycoutting it. Yeah, but they do all their shopping in Newcastle anyway.
  6. Probably belives Rooney's the white Pele.
  7. Tim Krul? Or do keepers not count any more?

    Players in public

Well, only 30 odd games in 3.5 years might have made him feel that way.
  11. This is just like the QPR match earlier this season. Except, the shoe's on the other foot this time.

Love Guardian's Football Weekly. Dislike Glendenning though.
  13. Seeing as how the media are portraying Chelsea as in a crisis, if we beat them, does that mean it doesn't count for them? Because obviously the only good teams we've played are the two Manchester ones.

    Sunderland...

Found a link to this blog on RTG: http://www.rokerreport.com/2011/11/29/2595624/captains-blog-how-on-earth-did-we-become-the-bad-guys "Indeed, at the height of Mike Ashley's unpopularity, 'you fat cockney b*stard' was a staple of the St James Park match day chorus. At one point a banner describing the Newcastle owner as the head of a 'cockney mafia' was paraded around the entire stadium. I can't remember an outcry in the media. In fact, the general consensus seemed to be that Newcastle fans were justified because they deserved better. Mike Ashley mustn't have the right friends." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They really do live in a parallel universe.

    LOL at Lolro

    That was seriously cuntish. Dick.
  17. Nah, we bought Milner the same summer Speed left.
  18. Bellamy's withdrawn from the match.
  19. He was fine against City. If Obertan can play, so can Sammy.
  20. I started to set out my team with the intention of putting him up front but realistically who on earth is gonna play on the left? Sammy wont provide enough cover, may as well just go for it with HBA. I get your point that there aren't many options, but he's stated that Barfa's been brought to play in the hole. Sammy played at Eastlands of all places, and I don't think its at all mad to think he will start against a Chelsea team who's defence has been really average.
  21. Why do people keep putting Ben Arfa on the wing? He's not gonna play there. And I'm happy about that, I want him playing as a proper No 10 especially as he's looking brighter and brighter.
