  1. Explain to me how the shard, the guerkin, canary wharf, every Newcastle high rise student accommodation etc that's been built over the last 20 years doesn't affect listed building light levels but sjp will. The whole argument is flawed. It's like architectural wokeness. By the way they didn't go to jail for pulling down the buildings. If I remember it was more fiscal than that.
  2. The amount of listed buildings that were demolished for the central motorway and Eldon Square show that for a "project that improves the city" progress should not be halted. I haven't heard anyone say just demolish leazes terrace buts let us move it to a new location. St James Park is the greatest building in our city and home to the greatest company in our city. Arguements for bandstands, parkland and for moving terraced houses shouldn't be detrimental to the business that provides everything to the city. For christ sake there is a stone in elswick pool commemorating the listed building Elswick Hall that was demolished to build the pool. If it's ok for elswick baths it's ok for nufc
  3. With a fully fit squad we would be at the bare minimum, clear in 4th. If ffp/PSR is really an issue I would rather have a financial reset and clear out the Dummetts, Ritchie's, Targetts, Dubravkas who are a level below and replace them with out of contract players and keep the core of the squad for next season without spending a fortune. Surely next season can't be as bad injury wise. The thought of selling Trippier is in my mind ridiculous. With a front 6 of Bruno, Tonali, joelinton, Gordon, isak and Barnes leaves great cover and the best front six in the league in my opinion. That would mean adequate defensive cover and a younger keeper required. We don't need major spending
  4. Just got home and I can't get my head around how emotional I was at the end. I'm a week off 55 and obviously the only trophy I've seen us win is the Division 1 / Championship back under Keegan, Hughton and Rafa. Since Keegan left our only two successes were great and enjoyable but the lack of hope stopped emotion getting the better of me. Since the takeover I've got all the hope back and today I realised that I have so much emotional investment in the whole club that, following the success today, I couldn't contain it any longer. Yes, the tears flowed at the lasses success. How on earth that crept up on me I have no idea. I spend all my time and cash following our great club and I knew success was coming, I just didn't know how it would affect me. My wife and daughter can't believe how soft I am but Amanda, Mehrdad, Jamie and PIF have given me so much more than I realised. What a frigging weekend!!! The day we win the Premiership, a cup or the WSL I will be to take away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. Sat directly behind it and convinced she meant it.
  6. Be careful parking at Tesco. 3 Hr limit and numberplate remote fining. If parking there I'd call the number and pay the parking charge. They could make a fortune today.
  7. Joelinton contract, Spurs Annihilation, 6th in the league and the biggest one to come later today. What a weekend!!! Howay the lasses
  8. The cup final experience will get them over the line. Lighting doesn't strike twice. Hope they're on a great bonus for promotion and play their best game, Can't wait. Weekend off, Tottenham and Huddersfield to win the league. Proper Carlsberg weekend!!
  9. Might have to camp out on Saturday to get our normal seats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Definitely going for the season tickets next season. I understand your addiction to Sunday's. My only worry next year is clashes due to Europa league qualification. If we make it we will play on a Sunday after every European round. Would love to think the women move to a slightly earlier time to avoid playing at the same time. There must be plenty like me who go to both games. The men would come first but it's definitely getting closer.
  11. There won't be a charge as she had already said that he was aggressive to one of her players and the fa will open a massive can of worms if she is summoned. Saying that, I would rather face an irate Sean Dyche than an angry Emma Hayes!!!
  12. I've got our tickets for Kingston Park. Due to the fact we may have already won it I would expect a bigger crowd than yesterday. We were there 70 minutes before kick off and it was busy then.
  13. PBG hat trick nailed on. Leaving her out of the cup final must have wound her right up
  14. Going to be a great crowd. Loads here already. Howay the lasses
  15. I'd agree that a player with more than 100 appearances, who had to pay to play in black and white when Ashley was in charge, deserves the UPMOST RESPECT from everyone associated with NUFC. If it proves that the Championship is a level too far then so be it, but her performances this season, at this level, are proven to be well within her capabilities. Please stop shaming the lasses. They've lost 3 games this season. Away to Man U in the FA Cup, home to forest in the league and in the final. They don't deserve the criticism.
  16. Official. BonesJones is a misogynist body shamer. Grace has conceded fewer goals and kept more clean sheets than any other goalkeeper in the league. She has the record appearances for NUFC women. I know nothing about you but please don't ever have children
  17. Still can't quite get my head round how they played yesterday. Everyone had a sub par performance but some of the uneducated, sweeping statements I have read online are disgraceful. I agree with OpenC that Grace Donnelly deserves Langley's faith and support rather than the abuse that she has had since the match yesterday. Disappointingly the abuse the team has had online, some of it very personal, shows how our fanbase has changed this season. The "We don't demand a team that wins" motto has long been forgotten. I've stopped reading social media after the men don't win and last night I had to do the same with the lasses. I thought we, as a fan base, were better than this.
  18. Just got home. Rally gutted for the lasses. Typical Newcastle having their worst performance of the season in a cup final. Fingers crossed Burnley and Forest lose tomorrow and a win against Liverpool Feds next week will secure the league. Onwards and upwards, but gutted for them today. Effort was there but uncharacteristic sloppy passing and control let them down.
  19. Hope to see Boddy for Gibson & Bailey Gayle for Galloway. Too hesitant. Play a bit faster and go for them. Ref not helping. Whistle happy
  20. The main stand blends in tremendously with the town
