  1. Yeh, hate when people say it's the cowards way out. That's not what LIIWBY is saying though, is it? I agree with him that (attempting to) commit suicide by causing an accident involving innocent others is not, on the face of it, a very social thing to do. However, it is also clear that people who do this are not thinking straight, so it's hard to judge really. I saw a very moving documentary the other day about a girl who was going to commit suicide and that followed her preparations. She planned the whole thing meticulously, said goodbye to her father and friends (who knew what she was planning) and finally overdosed in exactly the way she had planned. Suicide is always painful of course for everybody involved, but if people feel they are better off that way, I think this is a much more 'honourable' approach. I can not imagine how I would feel if my wife and kids perished in an accident caused by somebody committing suicide. Was this girl terminally ill?

  3. From my Facebook. It was someone replying to my status saying Pardew should jump off the Tyne Bridge. Honestly man. People are actually so oblivious to how s*** we are and lap up all this s***. Fair enough if nobody actually pays much attention. As the media are just as bad with this kind of BS. But don't go on like you're an expert on the subject. When really, you have no f***ing clue. TBF, that's a neutral supporter 'opinion' pretty much lifted from the Sun Says column and regurgitated ad infinitum by neutrals/people who take a passing interest in football. It used to annoy me and I remember calling an Arsenal 'fan' out on it (friend of a friend) once but now I just shrug- says more about the person saying it and how seriously their views are to be taken. I still think a lot of this sort of stuff is just people enjoying our misfortune and enjoying winding us up rather than their real opinions.
  4. He was on Sky before the match yesterday and was saying that the reason West Ham are doing better this season is because he now has better quality players with which to play the type of football they are playing, basically insinuating that he wanted to play this style all along. There was certainly no admission of weakness or culpability on his part for what was served up before. Well he's not telling the whole story: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11685/9318924/premier-league-sam-allardyce-remains-boss-at-west-ham-who-want-a-top-10-finish didn't they bring in Sheringham as well I know, I'm in total agreement with you. He's from the same school of self-serving bullshit that Pardew is from and the only difference is he works for a board that actually seem to care about their club and how they play. yeah sorry mis interpreted what you were saying. It's ok, my rambling post wasn't clear. Shall we get a room? I'm of the opinion this run he's on will collapse when they get Sussed out like Maybe. He'll be given the boot though if he comes under pressure from the fans again. Unlike our own sack of shite.
