Absolutely. We are only just over a year into being a club that is trying to compete again. The 14 or so years before that we were a zombie club and all the other teams we are up against have been building squads and commercial income since then. We are very behind and it’s amazing we are where we are now tbh without all the financial wriggle room the other clubs have got.

Try not to air your dirty laundry in public

It’s gonna be a lot tougher with Chelsea I think. They’ve bought some quality among the 80 new players they’ve bought and I think they’ll be a real force next season. Hopefully it’ll all come financially crashing down around them before they win anything mind.
