Bring JSL in and I almost don’t care. As much as I loved Isak before all this and appreciate that on his day he is unplayable. I think it became clear Howe and possibly even the players didn’t see a way back for him. Woltemade and JSL is better than Isak and Wilson. Especially as the latter was barely able to run the last two seasons.

If we get one of many of the strikers we have been linked with. I’m not sure I give a fuck about the Isak saga. As I felt resigned to it happening after Howe’s comments after the Liverpool game. But if we let him go without getting another striker in. Then that is unforgivable and would be yet another misstep from the owners.

It is a predicament for Howe. As Botman is too good not to play. But then Burn was our player of the season. So what do you do?! I also think there must have been some truth in the rumours around Elanga and Barnes and maybe the data from Bunce and his team said they’re good for X number of minutes. Howe has then looked at the players he had available and decided the XI he went with was the best option. Completely guessing, mind. Could have just decided to keep it solid because of who we had out and not having a striker and it didn’t work.

Being dropped, IMO. Has always indicated someone being taken out the team due to poor performances, disciplinary reasons etc. It carries negative connotations and always has done. But I’m sure you already knew that, but went with it anyway to somehow try and prove your point about him as a player/signing. Maybe, just maybe. There was some truth to the rumours about a knock. Or that he trusted Murphy in the system change off the right. Owing to him being here longer and being more comfortable in the new system. Not that it did much good Is rotation, tactical changes depending on the opposition and using the squad not a thing anymore? You’re DROPPED and it’s automatically a negative?!

He works hard, makes some smart runs, has something. But he is miles away from this level. Weak as a kitten for his size most the time, unbalanced or just daft in giving away cheap fouls. Even if it is the other team being clever to win them. Needs to be a bit more subtle or not get involved. On his heels almost every time a dangerous ball came in the box or was played in behind. Could have had 2-3 shots on target if he had that striker’s instinct. One would have been a tap in into an open goal. Also kept sort of jogging almost parallel with the ball when we were pushing forward. Almost as if he got in the way. Not sure he will ever have that side to his game and it is really frustrating. As he has some great attributes. But just plays with no control whatsoever.

If Monday was one of Bruno’s best games for us. This is up there with the worst Amazed that he still keeps trying the same routine and losing the ball every single time.
