  1. Great tune TBF. Singing along to it smiling
  2. If it wasn’t for Arteta and Gabriel. I’d genuinely feel sorry for them. Oh and the horrendous anti-football they play. Never forget when we shithoused a 0-0 there and was basically getting started on coming out the away end because we dared play like that. Arteta went bananas. Their fans outraged. They were far worse there. Didn’t even try and score. Sweet, sweet justice that it was Gabriel blazing it over the bar. The snidey, whinging, cheating cunt.
  3. I did at half time. There a tough enough watch at the best of times. I’d rather watch the jumps racing from Stratford than this shite.
  4. I know you caveated the mentality bit. But I think he lost something from his game when he matured as a person and started with all that stuff. He was far better when he was an aggro twat just tearing about, arguing with everyone and just generally being a bit radge. I feel like he lost a bit of an edge when he started to change his style and actually appeared to be more fragile mentally in some ways. At least when on the pitch.
  5. Iraola to replace him? Shame if so. He’ll do well there I reckon. Hopefully not, of course.
  6. Everywhere else reporting it is £69m plus the add ons, though?
  7. Aye. Just watched that before on instagram. Feeling a bit melancholy about it all. But I’ve been totally nonplussed since it became obvious he was away at the end of the season. It’s certainly easier to take because he’s going abroad to one of the biggest clubs in the world. Oh and when he hasn’t been a total cunt to get the move. I’ve done a bit of an emotional u-turn. I hope he does well over there.
  8. That suit is brutal and doesn’t fit him properly watched a couple of minutes. He doesn’t seem very happy. Forced there against his will, I reckon.
  9. Been a critic of his quite a bit over the last 18 months or so. But I feel a bit sad now
  10. Be a gutter for them if they lost him. I think he’s quality TBF. But doubt he’d come here and he’d cost too much.
  11. I think he means that’s what his value is on Transfermarkt. Not what this deal is worth.
  12. Throw in how reactive he has become with his defending. I think his stock has fallen massively. He seemed unbeatable at one point. Great in the air, covered well, genuinely world class with his one v one defending. But bar a mini spell of form, he was average at best for most of last season. I’m hoping it was down to constantly being injured and/or a bit rusty. As the drop off from the season before was huge. Still looks far more comfortable at left back and all.
  13. I’m not so sure. I think when fully motivated and/or in a functioning setup. He is lethal. If he gets back to short back and sides radge Gordon. Then he is going to do some serious damage. I also think that whilst it isn’t a bad deal by any means. We could have perhaps got more money if he went to another prem club. But I’m happy he is going abroad and that it is all getting sorted quickly. So no real gripes there. However, I do think he is actually quite limited as a player outside of his pace and work rate. I’m sure he will have another big strop and a sulk at some point. Pretty unforgiving over there with the media and fans. I think he will do well over there, mind. Whilst also at the same time thinking he really isn’t a Barca level player. But that just shows the state of the modern game and the path we are going down in terms or playing styles, I reckon.
  14. No. I wouldn’t use dynamic and explosive to describe Rashford, either.
  15. Not sure on this bit, mind….. Seen nothing towards the end of this season after the Barca/mackems debacle. That we’ve learnt any lessons there. Big summer on the transfer front. But even more so with how we set up in games. If we just go for more of the same because we’re back down to one game a week. Then it will be a bit of a concern. I think we will though. Don’t see where the evolution is going to come from.
  16. Calm down dear Nah. It’s not poor IMO. £65m plus was what I was hoping/expecting. So £70m plus whatever these add ons are is fine by me. Could have pushed for a bit more, perhaps. But he’s made it clear he wants out and no point having another long, drawn out transfer saga this summer.
  17. €80m plus add ons?! Not too shabby. Welcome to Newcastle Neco Williams and Jaidon Anthony.
  18. FWIW, I’ve hardly been singing Howe’s praises this year. But even though the results took a while to turn AND the signings played a big part. You could already see we were a much better side and actually had some sort of tactical plan when Howe replaced Bruce. Seems a bit ridiculous to pin it all on the signings and nowt else.
  19. TBF, I genuinely thought it was for a lot of the season. But I’m not sure what we’re transitioning to, exactly? A shite football team?! No discernible style of play, no idea what our best XI or formation is, players out of position or getting minutes regardless of form, loads of money wasted in the summer, no idea how to see a game out, crap at creating chances most weeks. It’s been horrendous for the majority of the league campaign. I thought there were genuine excuses and reasons for it. But it’s somehow got worse and worse.
  20. Thank fuck this season is over. The league performances have been abject. Need a decent window and to hit the ground running next season to get fans back onside. Personally I can’t see how he turns this shitshow around. But he’s staying. So I’ll still back him.
  21. Would have been devastated if he left last summer. But I think his stock has fallen massively and he has spent half the season looking half fit and/or uninterested or injured. Had one decent run in the side at right back this season, he is far better on the left and his one on one defending has suffered, too. Whether he has been struggling to get up to speed or playing through knocks, I don’t know. But he used to seem impossible to beat. He also has a very annoying habit of switching off at the back post. Very reactive and not proactive with his defending. I’m sure he could get back to form. But if the rumours are true that he doesn’t want to sign a new contract. Then we should just try and cash in on him this summer.
  22. I feel like you could make a similar montage for most teams across a season. Of course there will be decisions going against you the other way, as well. But that just further highlights what an absolute cunt Gabriel is. He is getting away with murder in both boxes every week. Half of those incidents seem to be involving him Despicable player. Clubs should probably send all the Gabriel clips and wrestling/fouling at every corner to the PGMOL. Otherwise we’re in for another Stoke FC season.
  23. Tel was so bad in those last 7 minutes. Been bad most the season, TBF.
