So just to confirm. You would sack Howe at the end of the season? Even if we got Europa or CL?
-
Yeah. Read that as well. That is quite the downgrade for them. I actually like Guehi and would have been happy to see him here. But basically every CB in the world would be a downgrade on VVD. Plus I don't even think they are similar players. VVD is far superior in the air and much stronger in 50/50's, or duels as I think they are now called. Guehi often looks poor in the air and like he sometimes gets outmatched physically.

I didn't mean I don't think Pope and/or Dubs will be moved on and we get a new number one. I just mean I don't think I would want us to sign Kelleher.
-
Nah. I was really keen on him when Alisson was out injured. Then I think in both games against us he has been poor and a bit shaky. 2 goals at SJP he should do better with, the last one being an absolute howler. Lucky to get away with the offside goal at Wembley. Tin hat on....... But Alisson/a keeper with better anticipation saves Burn's header. I know it's in the corner, but it has travelled a long way and it isn't like he's totally unsighted or anything. Thanks Slot. Glad you played him on Sunday

Watched the highlights from the official site and I'd half forgotten about that cruncher he put in on Diaz when he fairly won the ball. I know it was offside, but when Diaz went through, I thought it was going to be Pope getting sent off against Liverpool..... again! Fair play to him, as he had another one in a similar position where he headed it clear and he kept coming for set pieces into the box and all. You'll never get them all right, but I'd still rather have a keeper doing that regularly and getting caught out now and then whilst being super aggressive. Than whatever the opposite is. Someone like De Gea, I guess?

Nah. I found Drury more annoying, as usual. For once, I didn’t mind Neville’s strange orgasm sounds he makes after a goal Drury at the end. Was listening to it on a podcast this morning and I was shaking in disgust at his shit poetry

Gary Neville was absolutely loving the goals on comms. He was back to something like his classic best with all the oooooohhhhhhhsssss. Not quite Chelsea away at Barca levels. But he couldn’t contain himself
-
He is just an insanely likeable bloke. Really does just seem ‘normal’ in comparison to a lot of footballers. Just living the dream. Said on here I was stood next to Burn’s Dad at Chelsea and spoke to him a bit. Seemed a sound bloke and easy to understand why Dan seems like a top man based on my brief chat with his old man. Got a couple of mates who support Wigan. Yes, really They still adore Burn. They were buzzing yesterday. Because of BDB and because it’s Liverpool!

I wonder if there is anything in all of the social media stuff and the club and players asking for an atmosphere. Almost like it sparks people into life and it genuinely works.
-
TBF, my comments were more about him in general and week to week. The front 3 were all very in and out of the game. Due to how we set up. But I thought they all did well to maximise the opportunities we had. Even if they were feeding off scraps at times.

My money was on Adam Crafton.

Neville said something about never feeling/hearing Wembley like this. Seb Hutchinson I think is his name. He said after Isak’s disallowed goal against Arsenal. He had never been in a stadium that loud. When we get it right. We get it so right. I know game state and the performance play a massive part. But it makes it all the more infuriating when we get poor away ends and morgue like home games fairly often. The celebrations sounded LOUD for the goals and full time.

Needs to happen. No idea if he is any good. But we can make a top chant out of Four Tops - Loco Acapulco for him.
-
I thought he was possibly our quietest player and least involved after the game, despite doing well. But then watching extended highlights back, he was involved for loads of our chances and goals. He won the corner for Burn's goal, he won the corner for Isak's disallowed goal and nearly had another assist for Isak to make it 3-0. He does seem to drift out of games. He is never going to be as busy as Gordon or even someone like Almiron. But his quality in and around the box is top quality. Only Isak is better than him when it comes to that movement, sharpness and knowing what run to make. Often seems to react first and plays on the shoulder a lot. His runs inside are class. Need to start finding him like when Schar would look for Joelinton with the diagonal drifting infield. He is always alert and looking to get in behind, which I love. Whoever it was who said he would have been the little man striker in a 4-4-2 if he were born 10-20 years ago is absolutely spot on. He seems more like a forward than a winger.

Only had his op about a week ago, I think? Maybe advised not to travel?
-
I was thinking about this. Obviously at the time it nearly killed me. But them scoring the late goal, meant the win was even sweeter. I was never fully confident. But at the same time, we were basically coasting for a lot of that second half at 2-0. So to then get so nervy and think we were going to throw it away, the emotion seemed greater.

VVD has gone up in my estimation. May be a bit of a snide fucker and arrogant on the pitch. But seemed to be genuine as fuck with Burn at the end and then he waited for our celebrations to die down to shake everyone's hand. Slot sort of praised us. But also passive aggressive in half-moaning about how we were direct and slow with our play. Whenever managers or pundits talk about direct, crosses, headers etc. It's always as if they're complaining about it. Not everyone wants to play boring, possession football with passing for passing's sake all the while.

23 goals in all comps now? 2 more to equal last season's tally. His performances and consistency have been better than last season, mind. 30 goals please.
-
Who was it on here that put up the work e-mail/company briefing that went round. Where the NUFC fan was really eloquent and respectful. Then the Liverpool fan was an arrogant wankpiece going on about stats and how they're going to batter us. We need to see the follow up from that

Probably been posted already and probably won’t work for some. Because it’s insta. But Big Dan bouncing to Ultrabeat with Popey’s old man https://www.instagram.com/reel/DHRkUw5uV6-/?igsh=Y2c2NHgxbnZpempi

Still can’t gather my thoughts. Just all jumbled, stuff flying in and out of my head every few seconds. All I can say is, to a man, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a complete performance from us in a big game. Like every player, even the subs. Massively contributed and barely put a foot wrong. The much maligned back 5 were imperious, the midfield 3 dominant, the front 3 relentless even when they were feeding off scraps. So fucking elated this morning. Even after a 3 day session.
-
Should have waited until after Brentford. If we don’t play well or lose. He’ll be a D
-
Trying to not be subjective here. But it is fucking hard. I went B. As he has been a regular starter for us since signing and we’ve always been in and around the top 5. If you’re talking points accumulated since he signed. Probably more of a C with some of his limitations? Fuck knows. A+

It is funny how the perception changes when it’s late in a game and you’re winning. We were at it from the first minute. The first long free kick we had took over a minute, I think
