  1. City winning the league yet again then. Hooray.
  2. Great results for us again this weekend.
  3. Just seen they are reimbursing their fans, again. The same as last season. Spurs mate messaged me saying he might start going for the day out on the beers in the Toon. Money back on the ticket

Third game on the spin he’s been great at CB. He has been brilliant in place of Botman. Suddenly seems a menace at corners from CB. I know nothing has changed on that score, really. But I constantly notice him being more physical and aggressive. If Targett ever gets back fit. Next season we have Hall and him as genuine LB’s. With Burn, Tino and Trippier as cover. I’d say CB is more of a priority now. Even before the injuries, it felt like a CB was needed. One that is good on the ball and preferably with a bit of pace.
  5. I think clubs have got burnt because of goalscorers in the past. So it is etched in fans memories. The same way people view the Eredivisie. Lots of high profile flops/players that don’t score anywhere near as many. Top of my head, Ross McCormack, Dwight Gayle, Adam Armstrong for the Champ. Kezman, Alves, De Jong (both) from Holland. I agree with you that the Championship is perhaps better than it once was and for the right type of player. I don’t think clubs or fans should be put off.
  6. Especially when that long ball between our CB’s done us a good few times early on. Yet they still insisted on overplaying and giving our press and crowd the encouragement they needed.
  7. “That’s alright. That’s alright…… it’s only one.”
  8. @AyeDubbleYoo always had faith. I remember him saying he’ll get through without another yellow.

100%. But I suppose you can look at the injury two ways. It is concerning that it’s the same shoulder he has done again. It is positive that he’s gone 5-6 seasons with no issues with it and that he’s supposedly on track to return within a similar time frame. I think he would still be a net positive return on Dubravka. But my concern would be more about him being rusty than the injury itself. His touch and passing is hardly good at the best of times plus knowing when to stick or twist with coming out is a split second decision. It must be hard to gauge when you’ve been out a while and not match sharp.

    Harvey Barnes

I know his assist numbers were good at Leicester. But only really noticed him for his goals. In limited appearances. I think he’s unlucky not to have a few more assists. He’s got an eye for a pass and also goes past his man down the line easier than I realised. I really hope he can play the rest of the season with Isak and Gordon. They were outstanding today and it’s mental that’s the first time they’ve started together.
  11. Pure NUFC Creeps bait that bird. Single handedly keeps the account going
  12. Aye. Same marine haircut and aggressive stare like he’s trying to read a numberplate in the distance.
  13. Need to see it again. But I’m pretty sure he was outside the box? It was a foul, though.
  14. Yeah. I get why some fans would like him. That’s not to say I would or do like him. The bloke’s radio rental. Can’t help himself.
  15. But we have Tino. Both of them as options should we get Europe would be great, no? Unless we are viewing everything through the pissing FFP lens, again. In which case, maybe we would look to move him on. But there are still loads of first team/fringe players I’d look to sell before him.
  16. Only posts to weirdly stick up for Dubravka/slate Pope or to like any comments slating Howe.
  17. Gordon’s corners were brilliant today. But I do think with the tactics we employed for them, Viccario being rooted to his line and the fact we had 16 (sixteen) corners. Trippier would have caused havoc and all. He is still joint top of the assist charts and he has missed quite a few games, played plenty half fit and had that horrendous run of form. Not too shabby. I always feel like absence makes the heart grow fonder with injured players. But somehow, a few (one poster, maybe) seem to be going the opposite way. Tripps is world class and we’ll be a better team with him back in it.
  18. Van de Ven is getting loads of stick and rightly so. We had to hear how he was the best centre back since Maldini. All because he’s a specimen, strong and fast as fuck. Suits their system, sure and looks a great player. But settle down will ya. He’s forever making last ditch tackles. But living down south and speaking to a load of neutrals and Spurs supporting mates. Surely Romero deserves more blame? VdV actually stopped more goals after some of his howlers. But Romero was all over the place. Always desperate to get tight, has to be the main man getting stuck in and is attracted to the ball like a moth to a flame. I’d be royally fucked off as a Spurs fan. Giving it the big numbers at the end. Where was that fight during the game? I can’t have him at all. I get why you’d like him as a fan. As he is a good footballer and aggressive as fuck. But he’s a complete clown show of a defender a lot of the time.
  19. He is becoming more of a leader and more aggressive of late. Always chirping at the ref, the opposition, not afraid to get stuck in or get involved with all the handbags and minor skirmishes. Love to see it.
  20. So similar to the City game at home. Isak cutting in and scoring. Followed by Gordon a minute later. Both at that end and all.
  21. This times a million.

Supposedly going to be on the bench for the Palace or Sheff Utd game.
  23. I love his attitude. Proper chippy fucker and goes ploughing into challenges. We have missed that since Joelinton went down and with Bruno not being able to make a proper tackle for 11 games. He did the Joelinton role today but in reverse. More central on the ball, dropped to left back off the ball. Bis versatility could be huge for us going forward.
  24. Some stat. Could keep him on corners now and then even when Trippier is back. They were quality today. Helped by Viccario being rooted to his line. He is absolutely relentless. What a buy.
