Luke O 9 iron. Already seen him shank two up to nobody.

Dreadful so far.

I thought that was the case on Sunday. But since West Ham onwards, the polar opposite. He seemed to regularly make the right run or pass. His decisions were usually spot on. Sunday he wanted to hold onto it a fraction too long and the chance would disappear. I think our whole team bar Bruno and Murphy were guilty of this against Chelsea, mind.

Looks another physical, direct winger type and not that much better than what we have, if at all. Especially in terms of output. He looks clumsy on the ball a lot of the time, too. He has been up and down with his form and has been on a bit of a bad run since around February time, I think. Finally, I think he would cost £60m plus. Which is far too expensive for what he would actually bring to the team.
-
Agreed. For what they would cost vs our budget. I think we should be looking elsewhere.

Other way around for me. Elanga is better than Semenyo. I wouldn't want the latter here.
-
Not really a conspiracy to suggest he might be playing through an injury. When he has done so numerous times since arriving here and has had groin and knee/hip (I think) troubles that have seem him miss games. It’s quite easy if you watch him in games. To see that acceleration isn’t there, he is fairly immobile by his standards. He’s usually razor sharp with his reactions and on the ball. But you’re not seeing any of that. He often seems on his heels. Strikers go through barren spells and bad runs of form. But it’s not about the lack of goals or the snatching at chances for me. It’s because he clearly doesn’t look fit.
-
Fair enough. You watch every game, I don’t. Your midfield has always looked dreadful and very open whenever I have seen you though.
-
You can’t really argue with his attacking output. I’m not having the ball recoveries one as a useful metric here, mind. Man U’s midfield is wide open and they get played through at will. Of course he’s going to get no end of opportunities to recover the ball. It’s a bit like the duels one for our Bruno. He is so slow and almost actively wants to get in a duel every time he has the ball. It’s his way of beating players, it seems

I absolutely do not want to sell him. As a one on one defender. There aren’t many better in the league. But I’m hoping next season when he moves back to RB. He can be just as effective as he has been playing at LB. He wasn’t playing particularly well at RB earlier in the season. Certainly not going forward. I hope Howe and co can get some confidence into him so he might attempt a shot or a killer pass a bit more often. He gets in great positions over and over. But always seems reluctant to pull the trigger. The only goal he has scored came from him basically running it into the net

Also ‘There’s Nothing I Won’t Do’. Which is an absolute slammer, TBF.

Looks like he’s wearing a bowling shirt.

He looks very startled

The sort of double ‘go on….’ when it goes through to Murphy and then when it is on its way through to Tonali. Before the massive, collective inhalation of breath all around SJP. Before the ball goes in and everyone goes bananas. Absolutely class.
-
Yeah, even worse. I remember someone from Brazil commenting at the time on insta or somewhere how much that would have irked him

I can't believe what I was hearing after the PSG game. When he said Arsenal have been the best team in the CL. I was only half listening the first time and thought to myself 'fair play, he's praising PSG there.' But it's always damning with faint praise, the same as the games against us. Half congratulates the opposition. Then goes on to make a load of excuses, moan about the ref, tactics, time wasting, the ball and whatever the fuck else. He's a shitcunt of the highest order.
-
It's mainly the Argies, mind. Remember when he could have been sent off a couple of times for just smashing into Jorginho at every given opportunity. He was like an Ice Hockey Goon Then he's had a few games where he has had a running battle with Mac Allister. Now Enzo yesterday. It's hilarious

Fletch and McCoist were waffling on about all sorts of shite during the game. But credit where it’s due. I think they’re always great for goals and they’re now synonymous with some big goals for us on comms. They seem genuinely excited and interested in it all. But more importantly. They stay quiet for 5-10 seconds after the ball hits the net and just let you soak up the atmosphere from the crowd. The polar opposite to a lot of commentators. Particularly that bellend Drury. It’s why it makes it all the more annoying that they seem incapable of having any pauses from talking/waffling for the rest of the 90 minutes.

Odegaard certainly has under achieved this season. He’s been below his usual standards. He’s nowhere near team of the year IMO and despite him being class, neither is Saka.
-
Maybe the RWB role gives him more space, time and in different areas to usual on the ball. Which allows him to get his passing sorted. Small sample size. But he looked so much more comfortable in possession from the off. One of our best players with his passing and through balls. Probably only Bruno did it better.
-
Neto, Cucarella and Jackson were at it from the off. Snidey, cowards challenges. It was obvious Neto knew he’d been a cunt. Couldn’t apologise and go over to Tino quick enough.

I can’t get over this and had never seen it before That is peak Pardew. Stroking someone’s baldy heed “Didn’t you used to call Brian McDermott, Kojak?”
