  1. Fair play to The Arse. Putting on a clinic so far. Red card for that. Game’s gone. EDIT: Didn’t realise it was for kicking the ball away
  2. Howe has mentioned in the past evolving as a team, wanting to be more possession based and I’m sure other comments I’ve missed. Throw in the shitshow of last season with the injuries and what ended up being an unsustainable way of playing. Along with a review into said injuries and a new performance director being appointed. It makes you wonder if the whole process has been sped up? For whatever reason/reasons. It isn’t working at the minute. For the first time in a while. I feel like we have genuine options at a few positions. I alluded to it yesterday. But almost like a very watered down version of Chelsea. It almost seems like suddenly we are unsure on our best XI and system. A triple sub and double sub at half time the last two games when losing at half time sort of says it all. We don’t look like a Howe team, currently. If we’re trying to be more possession based. Then it isn’t working. If we’ve abandoned the high, intense press. Then I’m not sure what we’ve replaced it with?! As we look far from solid defensively and definitely don’t sit in deep. Without even looking. I would guess we are right down the bottom for shots faced on and off target. We still get played through in the middle with alarming ease. I was putting a lot of it down to certain players fitness levels, the fact Howe’s teams start slow and also how games have gone on the pitch, game state or whatever the stattos call it. As genuine reasons and excuses for performances. But it can’t carry on like this, that’s for sure.
  3. What in the Ready To Groom is this? Bit daft having to pick one or the other. If Mitchell ends up going early. Then I think Howe would also follow suit not long after and PIF would view him as a bit of a problem, who doesn’t work well with those above him. If Howe were to leave and it’s a lot to do with those above him. Then rightly or wrongly, Mitchell would be extremely unpopular with most fans. Although the poll suggests otherwise. As it stands currently. You can surely only pick Howe? What has Mitchell done to deserve any credit in the bank with our fanbase and how can he even be fairly judged after being here what, 2-3 months?
  4. Absolute shocker with that pass at the end. Not really been on it so far. I’ve been guilty in the past of thinking he’s had a bad game. Only for it to be like a 7 or 8/10 and just a bit below his usual standard when you watch the highlights back. But I don’t think that’s been the case this season. It’s hard to single him out. As bar HARVEY Barnes. Who has been consistently good? Been loads of inconsistent performances week to week, individual errors and disjointed performances as a team. It’s certainly a concern that our big name, big money players like Isak, Gordon and Bruno have all been well below their best. I feel like we’re still at a point where they can drag others up to their level and when they’re not performing. The team won’t be as a consequence. Worrying (N-O™️)

    Nick Pope

Not even going to mention his distribution in any detail. As it’s been done to death and he’s not going to improve that now. But he has looked off this season. Either he is taking an age to get himself back up to match sharpness. Or that shoulder is really limiting him. The 2nd goal is so bad. He is possibly the best in the league for saves with his feet. Often makes unconventional, almost 5-a-side-like keeper saves and just boots it out Tried to go down when the shot was close to him and got in a right old mess. Really has to be saving that. Defensive errors from the team collectively and individually for the Spurs goal and the second yesterday. But he has already been massively at fault for two goals this season. Which is certainly a concern. Still, tough gig being a keeper. Saved us 2 points just last week with an outrageous save from Cunha. Then makes a superb block at 2-1 yesterday to keep us in the game.
  6. Plenty on here and social media don’t want him to come out of this ‘patch’. They revel in the fact that he’s struggling. You can feel it oozing out of posts/tweets. Not even subtle anymore.
  7. Yep. My only views on Eales is that he is a corporate cringefest with an ok CV. Mitchell I have no view one way or the other. Great track record. Shit so far with some questionable comments. Even if Howe leaving benefits the club long term. I’d find it hard to root against him. All premature as fuck ATM, mind!
  8. Glad I missed it. As it doesn’t ruin my weekend and hit the same as if I’m watching. But that’s a bad result and the performance sounds even worse. Did think we needed something today with the run in. I thought a point would have been a poor result Feels all of a sudden, we’re a bit like Chelsea (minus the money that we can spend). Not sure what our best team or system is?! I won’t shit the bed just yet. But it’s not great. I think Howe is top drawer and will turn it around. But not a nice 5 games to try and change things.
  9. If you looked at Barnes’ goal compilation. It is either that finish or the screamer into the top/bottom corner. Really does have his areas and signature finishes.
  10. Shit defending all over the pitch. But that is brutal from Pope.
  11. Not watching, thankfully. Sounds awful.
  12. West Ham spending all that money and getting a big’ish name as manager is going well for them, I see.
  13. Would seem a bit much, IMO. They would then surely just print even more negative bullshit?
  14. Assuming that is all true. I’m pretty pleased with it. I would guess Kelly for Hall. Which I think is harsh and doesn’t particularly improve us. I’d really like to see Kelly at CB, mind. Trippier is a no brainer, for me. Deserves a start based on his cameos this season. Willock has looked great in the limited minutes he’s had. But seems to only really flourish on the left hand side. Would be an odd one if Joelinton is benched. As I think this would be more his game.
  15. The quote tweets are glorious Probably why he’s turned comments off, mind. Maximum publicity for his clickbait, red top articles.
  16. Just seen he’s turned off his replies. Such an annoying, doom mongering cunt. Absolutely revels in the drama and always with the negative slant with his tone and approach.
  17. Rumours are the toe is gangrenous. He might lose his foot.
  18. He was in the training pics on Wednesday. Isak wasn’t.
  19. I know they looked half decent in a couple of their games and we’ve not exactly looked good. But I’m a bit confused why so many seem to think we’ll struggle or that a point would be a good result? They drew away at Ipswich and won a fairly tight game at home to Leicester? They were unlucky not to win against West Ham and the Man U game was an odd one. They wasted decent opportunities themselves. But also could and probably should have been 3 down at HT themselves. With the home games we have coming up. I’m not so sure a draw is a good result, personally.
  20. Effective, but so boring to watch. Mikel Pulis will be playing 6 centre backs soon.
  21. Yeah. Gordon up top if Isak is out. At least we’ll see Barnes off the left from the start! I doubt Osula gets a look in if it’s another tight game. No indication whatsoever that Howe sees him as a genuine first team option so far. But all the games have had the odd goal in them. So I do kind of understand it.
  22. I hope you’re right. I don’t see any point in it. Other than corporate greed to get more games played. I was kind of open minded going in. After originally being dead against it. Got to at least give it a chance. But from only loosely following it the last two nights. I’m already not a fan.
  23. Poor all round from Cov. Losing it in such a bad area, then not dropping back in and to finish it off. The keeper giving him the whole goal to aim at.
  24. Such a strange side. Look really good in games, capable of blowing teams away. Yet the last 3 times I have seen them. They have had all the territory and possession. But only scored via an own goal, then blanked the next two (well, until just now ). They’re really open at the back and all. So you’d like to see more from them in attack when they always commit so many men forward.
  25. Agree with this. Do the rules seem massively unfair to clubs trying to now challenge? Yes, I think so. Have they been weighted in such a way. That teams now just sell or trade their youth/homegrown players for inflated fees? Yes. Are there loads of ridiculous loopholes that can be exploited via accountancy tricks or wide open doors that they forgot to close? Yes. If Man City are guilty. Should they get away with a lenient punishment because we don’t like the rules and want a shot at spending daft amounts? Absolutely fucking not. Just to be clear. I don’t think PSR/FFP should be abolished. You’d just get loads of teams like City, Chelsea and now ourselves. With ridiculous amounts of money. Just buying whoever they want. But they really do need to be heavily modified so that teams outside of the original Sky 6 actually have a chance of catching up and consistently challenging at the top end of the table.
