Yeah, it's decent enough compared to the others. But I don't think anything on there is particularly insightful outside of 'X had a good game. Y wasn't very good.' They do good insights on takeaways, mind Also agree with this. Actually think some of the TF lot are great with their views and analysis. Some are painful to listen to and offer fuck all. Reminds me of the way my parents and family (not big football fans) comment on England games in the Whatsapp group Others can make some great points, but also come across as pretentious and boring/unlikeable fuckers at the same time. Nah. They seem like nice blokes. But there is hardly any insight. Just like talking to your mates down the pub. I think they also get bogged down on certain points of contention and get quite heated arguing said points. Not that I mind them being passionate and arguing it. But it just takes over the discussion a lot of the time and goes on for far too long. Some of the discourse around ASM for example used to be tiresome. They would just argue back and forward between two of them for about 20 minutes and never concede ground. Boring as fuck.

They would still have 4 senior centre backs, as when looking up this new signing. I noticed they signed Rob Holding (no laughing) last season and all.

Had no idea who he was. But I had SSN (how awful is it these days by the way) on and noticed on the transfer tracker thing on the side of the screen they had signed someone from Betis, Chadi Riad. Looked him up and he's a centre back who played at the weekend. Plus they're constantly linked with Lacroix. So surely if they got the latter, they've replaced Andersen and Guehi. At least in Parrish's eyes they have. Even if their qualities and abilities might not currently match.

Was saying in the pub. They were getting a couple of freebies when pressing. Just go flying in, deliberately play the man, usually from behind and no attempt to play the ball. Like someone was saying in the football pet hates thread. Seems like you can commit cynical as fuck fouls 2, 3, maybe even 4 times a game. So long as it’s in the middle of the pitch and isn’t too blatant in stopping a counter.

They were the better side between 20 and 65-70 mins, I thought. Despite us getting lucky not to concede another when playing badly and of course the last minute ‘handball’ goal. We were the better team and looked like we might nick it the last 20 minutes or so. I thought a point was fair.

Small sample size. But he looked like the Joe Willock of 22/23. Was direct, pacey and purposeful. More of that please Joe.

Said in the match thread. It felt noticeable that we were going back to him more often than usual. Hopefully more because Bournemouth forced us to. Rather than by design. No Schar and Trippier in the back 4 will do that, I guess. Anyway. Despite him possibly being the worst keeper with his feet in all of the leagues. He is a top drawer ‘goalkeeper’. His save with his leg today looked routine. But it really wasn’t.

Haha. I’d still rather him in nets than an average keeper who’s good with his feet. That save with his leg was so underrated. Makes those look routine when they’re anything but.

Yep. I love Pope as a ‘keeper’. But it was noticeable how often we played back to him today and I thought he was even more ropey than usual.

Massively got away with one. Positive last 20-30 or so. Willock and Barnes were very good. Considering how shit we were from say 20-65 mins. It is a good result.

Balance has been much better since both rounds of subs. I know game state plays a big part. But we seem to have an idea of how to work the ball and create chances now.

How are you watching this and leaving the same 11 players out there FFS

I really thought we played well the first 20 and should have scored when on top. Appalling since and they look like they’ll get a second no bother. He may prove me wrong. But I think he’ll put that 11 back out 2nd half and we’ll be just as bad. I’d be looking to get Willock and Trippier/Hall on. Needs to be ruthless and send a message that this isn’t anywhere near good enough.

Great first 20. Brutal since. They are just pressing certain players and not letting them turn. Happy for the likes of Murphy, Tino and Longstaff to be spare. As they’re ultimately not good enough to do anything with it. Gordon anonymous. Joelinton from a 9/10 to a 2 this week. So far, anyway.

I do sort of agree. But pundits and the media choosing to spend more time talking about the so called ‘big’ clubs is nothing new. The mainstream football shows on TV almost always have ex-pros on who only know about the Prem and the clubs at the top of the table. The whole football media vehicle is built around that. So whilst I don’t particularly like negative Neville. It seems odd to single him out in particular.
