The penalty and the second Richarlison goal not his fault? Of course they were. The second Milan goal was up the middle of the goal. He did his usual dive where he makes himself smaller and gets stuck underneath the ball. He is finished as a starting keeper at this level and needs upgrading ASAP.

Spurs and Man U in for him, I think I read?

Said in another thread, possibly Luton. That the 3 is often flat and easy to play round. Or a bit disjointed and too high up the pitch. The lack of athleticism in there and half fit players throughout the team is hurting us even more than usual. Botman and Schar have often helped stepping into the space where a DM would be and being aggressive in doing so. But the whole back 4 looked a mess yesterday and all of them were sluggish and didn’t look to be awake half the time. Throw in the fact we had two wingers who look injured/gassed and nobody who could pick the right pass or regularly get a meaningful shot away. In short. It was a shitshow across the board.
-
Yeah. Botman yesterday was moving like he was actually a T-800.

Nobody has ever laughed at one of your posts.

As much as I’m still in pain. I had to laugh at that sentence. Chris Wood going full Messi

Barely done anything wrong? He’s been a bit better of late. But he was wank his first three games. Then he was much improved for a bit, 2-3 games was it? But today he was glued to his line again and reverted back to being glued to his line. You like pointing out that Trippier has been at fault for 8 goals. Rightly so. But Dubs was shit for 2 at Everton, 2, possibly 3 against Spurs and the second against Milan. But other than that. He’s barely done anything wrong

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Both can be true, mind. The defence have been shit today and in recent games. But he is rooted to his line and looks so unsure with one on ones, never coming out convincingly and somehow makes himself smaller when trying to save the ball. In his defence. He has been brilliant at plucking some decent shot-cum-crosses out of the air when close to him and when he’s diving and reaching for it. But all that said. He is a big downgrade in every way, bar his kicking. -
Why have you quoted your last post to talk even more bollocks like you’ve been proven right? Miley, Bruno for the most part and Isak in patches. Were the only positives today.
-
Agree with a lot of that and we were shit for a lot of reasons today. But we didn’t look fit all game. The midfield looked like they had Timberlands on when chasing back (often do, not the quickest). Burn had a caravan attached to him, Botman looked sluggish and the widemen looked slow and predictable all game. It can’t be used as the sole reason. But the lack of rotation and players with knocks are massively impacting on how we play.

Sounded alright on my feed until the thrid went in. Then it was game over and flat as fuck. Bar the COME ON for corners and chances. Which is kind of to be expected.

Well said. I would hope and expect to see at least some shoots of encouragement after Jan, mind. As it has been getting worse and not better. If the performances start resembling Howe’s Newcastle again in some way. Then he 100% deserves another summer window and to see how we go next season. Pretty much regardless of where we finish. Been a victim of his own success in over-achieving. Then unfortunately having to compete on 2-3 fronts with half a squad.

Out the top ten by the end of Jan. Just hope we can get some players in, some back from injury and then look to get back to what we’re about in Feb.
-
Eh? We’ve been on a bad run to say the least, with some mitigating circumstances. But the home form has still been solid. As it has for most of his time here. This is our worst home performance under him and by some distance. Seems totally at odds to what we have seen at SJP since the takeover. I’d like to think he’s got more than enough credit in the bank to ride out rough spells like this. Problem is, January looks like it’s going to get worse. Before it gets better.

Apart from Miley and Isak most the time (bar their second goal). We have almost always picked the wrong pass. We really lack creativity and players with technical ability.

Think it’s only the Forest fans you can hear

Might get on Liverpool -3 now

Midfield are so leggy and all over the place. We never play with a DM. So they are always wide open. Doesn’t help that the back 4 are all playing like they’ve got blindfolds on and their legs tied together.
-
The defending today is up there with some of the stuff we saw under Bruce
-
Gibbs-White with his 4th or 5th foul. You really do get away with more if you’re captain.
-
Not sure he would have cut it out. But Schar strolls across and totally loses Wood. Trying to block the cross, of course. But just lets Wood run off him and never even looks where he is.
-
Almiron FFS. Brilliant play. Followed by a horrendous pass.
-
You know it will be the same team. Very rare for him to change it when we’re winning. Unless it’s a forced change. Not playing terribly. Just need a 2nd. As they are threatening down that side.
-
3 great corners in a row from Trippier. Back line looks a bit disjointed. They are finding a bit of room with Elanga and should have had a FIFA style tap in if he wasn’t so greedy.

How the fuck is Miley 17, man. Most composed player on the pitch.
