I appear to have voted 7, which seems a bit OTT. But I think after today, assuming we don't get 2-3 decent players in (which we clearly won't). Then I think I am at a 7-8. This squad is so bad, the players don't seem to fit the system and Rafa's tactics are cautious as fuck, meaning we need to take the few chances that come our way. Ultimately, the lack of a goalscorer will be our downfall, should we go down. No goals in this team.

We had a bad home record last season even as the best team in the league. Wasn't our home form like 6th or 8th last season? Bit of a difference.

Did I miss something? Or are you on about when Dummett got destroyed by Bony and then Darlow came rushing out to stop the 1 on 1? Would have been pretty difficult to secure the ball, going at full pace, going up against an opposition player FFS Apologies if you are referring to something else. But I hardly see that incident as him nearly costing us the game.

So bad. I know he's not blessed with pace, but he seems to have gotten even slower. He doesn't run around like a loon and track back as much as he did last season. Even his set pieces, which are such an asset, seem to have gone to shit. Basically, from open play, he has been ineffectual for nigh on the entire season. Consistently gets in the team, but IMO, has probably been our worst first team regular. I know he has got some important assists from corners and free kicks. But along with a lot of other players in this squad, he just isn't good enough.

Most of them were useless, I thought. But he was better than most. That's not saying much, mind.

Fucking awful result and second half performance. Yet another game where we start ok, have chances and then the opposition adjust and we look toothless and clueless. The squad is nowhere near good enough. As proven by not being able to beat the worst team in the league, at home.

I’d still personally liked to have seen him given a chance, but there you go. Loads of question marks around Gayle and still are. Is he good enough at this level? Can he play up top on his own (no), will he ever trust his own hamstrings again? So Rafa should have kept Daryl Murphy until late into the window and then not signed anyone else? Our striking options were dire before and they still are. I put this more down to Rafa actually trusting the fat twat to keep his word and back him. Instead we have ended up with squad filler and panic buys. But somehow, amazingly, after all these years of seeing how Ashley operates.
