  1. Man U are very good in the second half. This is 3-4 games in a row I’ve seen them where they’ve started slowly or been second best first half. Then they adjust and boss the second. Hopefully we start quickly and actually take our chances for a change, should they come on Sunday.
  2. I want them to stay in Europe. So their season is harder and also, purely from a selfish point of view. So the Spurs game might be moved back to the Saturday KO. Extra time and a few minor injuries would be good.
  3. I’m sure he used to be no nonsense from pens. That run up is new’ish and really doesn’t work for him
  4. King Lewy needs to sort out that stupid technique. Lucky as fuck there.
  5. 242 for me. If you’re nearby, come say hello. I’m the balding Mark Viduka/Josh Hartnett lookalike.
  6. I’d rather your first team got swine flu and we had to play your stiffs. Just let us have one measly cup FFS
  7. Agreed. I wouldn’t drop him. Just think Howe might go for the tried and tested lineup.
  8. I think ASM and Isak might be the options off the bench if Willock is good to go.
  9. You all Club Wembley? Got ours through a mate’s Uncle who works in hospitality. Official reseller and their e-mail said you get the ticket or download 3 days before the game. Was the same for the NFL, from memory. Should all have ours today then……
  10. Well I for one look forward to Bruno In The Middle, Who’s that team and Blaydon Races at the same speed as a Busta Rhymes and Twista collab, on repeat for 90 minutes.
  11. Again, I always feel like I’m overly critical of keepers and the goal was ruthless from City. But the commentator saying the keeper had no chance? He half shifts his weight to his right. So understand he is a bit wrong footed. But he just waves an arm at it with the ball going in the middle of the goal right next to him.
  12. I might be imagining it. As I don’t follow him on Twitter. But I’m sure he makes loads of references to The Office.
  13. Wilson will start. Just whether or not Willock is fit enough to play. But I think he should be on the bench, anyway. Can't drop ASM after his last game.
  14. Watched in the pub with Liverpool supporting mates and two neutral’ish Arsenal and Man U fans. As well as the Liverpool fans, the same comments seemed to be mentioned by all. Good goals/poor defending. Better team for the first 20 bar those two moments. Should have scored at least a couple, Liverpool shaky at the back, Toon played well. Of course I suppose Liverpool could have stepped it up if they needed to. As even with 11 v 11. It felt like game over the minute the 2nd went in. But for some reason. I still can’t help feeling more positive after that performance and defeat. Than I did after Palace, West Ham and Bournemouth.
  15. Marco Silva regularly kicks off and all, doesn't he? Seems like a mini Mourinho wannabe at times.
  16. Never understood this mindset from owners. Think I've mentioned it a few times on here about when we did it with McLaren, when he supposedly had two games to save his job. He then got a couple of positive results. We then carried on being shit and it just prolonged his sacking. Resulting in us going down. If you think the manager has lost the dressing room, run out of ideas, taken the club as far as they can etc. Then what bearing does 1-2 more games have? Is Moyes suddenly going to stop playing ultra-negative football, get the fans back on side, start scoring goals and go on a winning run?
  17. Agree with this. Froggy has already mentioned they have been starting slowly the last couple of weeks. We have been starting games pretty well of late, bar Bournemouth. Where the whole game was poor from us. Not checked the numbers. But it has seemed like the teams that have played in Europe in the week, have then had a bit of a sluggish start or poor first half in their next game. Followed by getting it together a bit in the second. Sitting back and letting them get up a head of steam wouldn't be ideal, IMO.
  18. I get the criticism of ASM on that to a degree. But it is still horrendous defending behind him and I feel like too much is being made out of ASM's contribution (or lack of) for that goal. Good ball under little to no pressure or not. You could have driven a bus through that gap and we have not been like that this season at the back. Trippier dropped slightly and then started shouting for hand ball and offside. Instead of just getting on with fully tucking in behind Schar to cover the run. Schar just seemed a bit blasé about it all and didn't seem to know what was going on. Both were similar for the second goal.
  19. Always thought it was weird how Arsenal fans were so bitter towards Martinez. But judging by his antics at the World Cup and also with yourselves. I’m guessing he said some daft shit or provoked them in some way? I read 2-3 weeks ago Martinez was talking himself up in the foreign press. Saying he should be playing in and winning the Champions League. So might be that he has his eye on a move and Emery would be happy to get shot of him, anyway.
  20. It has become that automatic. That I was in SJP one year and people started clapping the remembrance day silence ?
  21. I thought Leicester looked the better side first half and Man U were ropey. Not seen the 2nd. But just checked the score!
  22. It’s only the UEFA Conference qualifying round for winning the League Cup. Not even sure it transfers to the losing team. Should the winners already be in a better UEFA competition.
  23. Backs to the wall or some sort of injustice is key to the atmosphere, I reckon. When we have had control in games or winning this season. That has when it has become a bit flat when I have been or from how it sounds on TV. I doubt this is exclusive to SJP, mind.
