  1. Hardly a radical change? In the hunt for goals. We lost a load of control in the middle, we were a lot weaker off the ball and defensively down the wings with Barnes and Murphy in place of Joelinton and Gordon, we had 2 strikers on the pitch, a rarity for us. We were chucking in loads of early crosses, again, a rarity for us. We were shit at all of the above but you're massively moving the goalposts to fit you clear agenda against Howe, amidst some thinly veiled 'I still really like him' posts.
  2. How many managers have a genuine 'plan B' that they can just pivot to mid-game and often brings about changes? Repeating myself, but I believe Klopp is on record saying something like 'if Plan A isn't working, we need to work harder.' If you whole philosophy is about a certain style and you drill your players week in week out to implement it successfully. Then you surely have belief in said system and that is what you stick with? Obviously there are late changes in games that everyone still goes for. Big CB up top to win headers, 3 at the back as you're chasing a goal with not long left. But it would make more sense to me to fine tune your Plan A and try to tweak it that way. We should have done that against West Ham. We seemed so desperate to change it quickly and get a goal back. I feel like we also went a bit gung ho against Milan too early. Seeing as the CL games were referenced earlier.
  3. Yeah. Not sure how you can watch that game and say it was just different players. We went to a different system a couple of times second half. Towards the end it was basically get it to Murphy and whip it into the box at every opportunity. Whether you think it was a shit tactic and formation change (I do) or not is a different matter. We’ve also made in-game tweaks and changes this season that have won us games. So saying we have no plan B is nonsense.
  4. Quite a lot of that first paragraph is purely subjective or you can counter them fairly easily, can you not? I mean, I think I would need to be playing devil's advocate for some points, as I agree with some of it. But if you really believe all of that and like there aren't genuine reasons or excuses behind each issue you've raised. Then we might as well sack him today.
  5. It makes me feel better about my half pissed, rage induced posts after a defeat, mind. As I often think I’ve gone a bit overboard. Then I read the rest of the forum and realise I come across as a happy clapping Eddie fan boy in comparison
  6. Left footed and can play off the right, I think? Hardly the transformative right winger we need though
  7. You’d imagine Alisson will be off somewhere for a big payday. Had his injury troubles, too. So Liverpool might be keen to move him on because of that. Kelleher is clearly too good to continue as a number 2. But they just spent £30m or whatever it was on Marmaduke. So I’m assuming the plan is for him to be the starter. If Kelleher does leave as he wants to be number 1 somewhere. I think he’d cost a lot. What do people think in today’s market and due to his worth to Liverpool. £20-30m? More?! I think he’d have a few suitors. He looks absolutely quality.
  8. Seems ridiculous to type it out when you look at his career and his numbers. But Mbappe really does seem overrated compared to the small handful of elite players you would be comparing him to in recent years. I regularly watch him and just wonder what it is he’s meant to bring other than mad pace? He never does any work off the ball or defensively. Which is fine to a point if your attacking output is always that good. But it is often lacking. Could it be a case of too much too young and it has fucked him mentally and physically? As the last year or so at PSG and now at RM. He doesn’t seem anything like the player that conquered the world with France.
  9. McManaman talking about no shots on target for RM whilst they discuss the penalty that was saved. Pretty sure Diaz had a shot on target earlier and all.
  10. Hahahhaha. Fuck off you French ninja turtle prick.
  11. He’s only just doing this now? Not after all the other constant stream of injuries he got?! I hope for our sake he stays fit until the end of the season and weighs in with some big goals. But he’s been fucked from injuries since before Howe joined.
  12. I don’t think it’s been a bad game at all. A bit short on goal action and chances. But been some right pinball stuff and played at a decent pace.
  13. Had just come in here to say similar. Camavinga has been outstanding.
  14. Nah. He’s learnt from the best. The apprentice has become the master. He’ll be biting and all sorts soon enough.
  15. Because they all thought they were signing him and be chose RM? Or maybe because of their ‘Scouse not English’ thing? Fuck knows
  16. New manager bounce for our game then.
  17. He is the most Uruguayan player of all time.
  18. Bought Salah first, didn’t they? But yeah, Alisson and VVD were pretty much the missing pieces that won them the league.
  19. Swap deal for Raphinia, Olmo and Pedri, I heard.
  20. Not only one left winger, but two in two windows. That's not a massive dig, as I actually really like Barnes and probably saw it as a deal worth getting involved with. But now seems like we're reluctant to play Gordon right/he's reluctant to play there. So we've spent the best part of £100m for two LW's. Yet after all this time, we still have no guile or creativity at the business end of the pitch and we still don't have a RW/attacking mid type.
  21. I don't want to exaggerate. But after Andy Hinchcliffe. That Rory bloke is possibly the worst person involved with football. I heard him on Talksport once. Just sounded like a Simon Jordan Junior. So much nonsense and complete waffle to arrive at a very basic and boring point or opinion. Shoehorning in as many big words and buzz words as possible.
  22. I'm still fuming about West Ham, mind That second half performance is up there with the worst half we've seen under Howe at SJP, I reckon and we can't be repeating that again when chasing a game. The first half was actually very good in lots of ways. Now I can look at it a bit more objectively.
  23. Fulham have just been beaten 4-1 at home by Wolves. Brighton have put in some good performances and beat the likes of us and City and just won at Bournemouth which is a tough place to go. All by the odd goal and had large spells of those games where they were lucky to stay level or ahead. Our game in particular. The mighty Man City lost 5 in a row before last night and then blew a 3 goal lead to go 6 without a win. Even Chelsea who are much improved, have been a bit up and down with their performances and some of their results. I get consistency is an issue with Howe and it is a concern that we seem to be repeating some of the same mistakes as previous seasons. But you're making out like we're the only team in the chasing pack behind the usual top 3 with performance and consistency issues. I'd imagine there is a reason the league is so tight this year.
