I feel a bit sorry for him. As he only gets a touch every 5-10 minutes. But I feel like the league are already wising up to him. Getting very tight and physical and not giving him a second to get a touch. His hold up needs to be better when it comes his way. We also need to try and play to his strengths and get him involved. We seem incapable of that most weeks.

Dreadful half. Somehow ahead. I’ll take it. Ramsey has made a big difference. Nice to have 3 midfielders who want the ball. Trippier has been great, as has Thiaw. Bruno and Barnes tidy enough. The less said about the rest the better. They are horrendous to watch and all. Just play for free kicks, corners and long throws. The Prem in a nutshell this season. A load of wank.

Ruddy up top. David James style.

TBG has a lot to answer for His pisstaking, satirical posts have spread like wildfire.

He was coming back from a serious injury and I believe had some niggles and hold ups with his recovery. Hardly ‘behind’ Trippier as you worded it. Bit disingenuous that

That’ll catch them out TBF. You don’t see the ol 3-3-3-1 much these days.

Wank from Gabriel and Raya. Gabriel dominates physically for most the game. But whenever he gets wrong side or out of position. He just goes down and moans to the ref. Such an unlikeable player.
-
They are good for a late goal. That’s for sure.

The new Casemiro.

Mackems manager looks like a cartoon character and I can’t quite place him. Mr Burns? One of the vultures from the Jungle Book?
-
Toon fan Saka. Missed arguably an easier chance off his stronger foot. Then follows up with that.
-
Mad to think it was 2 last minute goals to get them through the semi and then the final. Talk about fine margins.
-
Saka FFS. Expect that to go in.

Ah yes. Craig Pawson is ref. Which means we will get a random stoppage every 30 seconds. Eze looks like the only chance the Goonbags have from open play. Not a clue otherwise. I’m sure they’ll score off a corner. Whilst they commit 2-3 fouls that go unpunished.

Love a Desmond. Good result for us. If we can actually find some league form, that is.
-
Mental that Spurs are in an ok position in the league. They look fairly poor whenever I see them. They do have a fair amount of injuries. But it’s still a strong XI most the while. Squad seems fairly deep?
-
Comical defending. Man U been by far the better side. Not sure I’ve ever seen Richarlison have a good game for Spurs.

After the last group we got. We deserve a bit of luck with the teams we play at home and also getting them in early. All for nothing if we can’t get a result or two in the away games coming up, before hopefully beating PSV. Not sure what sort of points total you need for top 8. But that has to be the aim now. Another 5 points doesn’t seem unreasonable at all. Manage to grab an away win and 16 points could mean we sneak into 8th.

I refuse to watch it as he is a whiny cunt who is always twisting about something. Terrible look yet again from him. But I must say, I agree with that quote. The prem has been wank to watch this year. Everyone trying to emulate Arsenal and taking an age on free kicks and corners. Long throws back, which again, take fucking ages to set up. It’s all so slow and ponderous. I know it’s more gradual than overnight. But it seemed like yesterday everyone wanted to try and play Pepball, even when they couldn’t. Know most teams have 180’d to playing like Wimbledon/Stoke.

FWIW, I think he might play it safe with Hall and not start him until after the international break. But I wouldn’t pay much attention to what Howe says about injuries or team selection, personally.
-
Right club to be a benchwarmer, ruin his world cup chances and push him further away from being England’s number 1. Donnarumma is mid-20’s isn’t he? Plenty of years left at the top for him.
-
When has Howe ever given anything away in pressers?
-
3 at the back I reckon. Not keen on it as a formation with this squad. But it means Hall can come in without Burn being benched, it will help combat all their set pieces and long throws and it makes us hard to beat. If he does go with that. I’d like to see Ramsey and or Elanga start. As similar to what Whitley Mag said. We need to actually try and get some players near Woltemade for a change.
-
I don’t think it has. He’s still shown he is rapid, whilst simultaneously looking slow at the same time. He has just rarely had a run in the side, we’ve outgrown him a bit as a player and we no longer have that hybrid position that he often played so well in. I thought he was good against Spurs in comparison to some of his more recent showings. But his attitude seems to have been questioned by Howe, referenced by the players and the clips of him warming up don’t look great, do they? No surprise he is now our 6th choice CM and can only really play on the left.

Probably massively overthinking it and being a bit paranoid. But at times it has felt like Howe has indulged Gordon. Not subbed him, barely played him on the right (when Gordon did seem to sulk) and regularly started him. Even when in crap form. It has probably got the best out of him in the past. But the fact he has been crap bar a 2-3 month spell since basically the start of last season. Is showing that whatever we or he is doing isn’t working and he shouldn’t be an automatic starter. Maybe a kick up the arse and having to fight for his place is what he needs. Barnes should get a run now regardless of Gordon’s fitness. Even Elanga….. ok maybe that’s too far. But Wissa could be back soon’ish and he could play off the left no bother.
