While i'd love to see him get sacked asap it's really not going to happen. He's mates with Carr and on the board so that's 50% of our board who'll be in his corner. He's like a player off the early nintendo games where you only had two buttons to control it. He's played a big part in us still having a clean sheet today mind. Some good blocks. That's the problem with playing without real wingers like, Gini could have roasted the full back there and got in an early cross but chose to cut inside instead. We could really use some proper width at least on one side.

I think you may have misunderstood, or I may have, but I think all he said was that the lack of maintenance to SJP since Ashley took over is beginning to show physically on SJP. It wasn't a sudden realisition that Ashley is a bit shit I don't think. That's how I read it.

If we want to get the best out of this lad then we need to get some width and start getting crosses into the box for him. He doesn't come across as the type of striker who will make his own chances, he needs service and between our complete lack of creativity in the middle and our playing two naturally central players out wide he's not getting it.
