'It's like a new signing having Nile back in the fold. I think all of us, fans included, need to say a big thank you to Mike for keeping hold of him and giving him another chance when everyone else had written him off. We should be grateful for that and in that sense it's been a great window for us even though we just didn't quite manage to get anyone over the line.'
I like the way each tournament, be it a world cup or a euro championship, takes on it's own personality and character based not only on the narrative that unfolds but on the locations and nature of the hosts.
I just hope this doesn't destroy that and we end up with a generic tournament with no real memorable defining characteristics.
You're very naive if you believe that a lot of the crap about Ba in the press hasn't come from his 'advisers'.
He didn't say that.
No, you're right, he didn't, I should read more carefully. Ba's actual advisers have stirred up more than enough to concern me though.
Alan Shitjew is still my favourite. Manages to poke fun at a perceived lack of quality and be anti-Semitic towards someone who is not of Jewish heritage all at the same time.
Tbf if he's not Jewish he would be a pretty shit jew.
AC fucking Milan. Should have checked the lineups before placing, I thought the odds were a bit good. Pretty much got my stake back from PSG and Real though. Crewe let me down conceding a 92nd minute goal and Lincoln getting beat at home to Woking meaning after an entire day gambling I came out with a whopping 36p loss. After about 8 hours on betfair i'm pretty much exactly where I started
What's the thoughts on tonights CL games? Shitty lineups all round again?
