They all need help on RTG. Just had a quite browse on a few threads. Apparently these players aren't that good because they cost £12m max? Where does this logic come from? We wont survive because they're French? Without a British core we stand no chance? Apparently nationality comes before quality? I don't get this logic. I genuinely feel dumber after reading that forum. Oh yeah, Debuchy is also terrible. Hes only played 180mins for this club
-
Surely that is Haidara? Hes got a mohawk! Not sure if Sissoko has mind
-
Why ever would you expect that? Whos to believe a new poster? haha. But yeah, apparently hes due in tonight. Would like to think its true

Don't want to proceed to be ITK or anything. But apparently Gouffran is arriving tonight at NCL-Airport at 7pm. Heard this via him, Head of Security at NUFC is meeting him at the airport. I fully expect to get a barrage of abuse here though

Is there anything in the French papers to suggest that this deal is edging closer? Lee 'Oracle' Ryder isn't the most reliable of guys.

A player could go for £0 and Ashley would ask them to pay us to take him.

Think of Reading on Saturday.

How do people find this stuff? A combination of Twitter, boredom and not having a life!

Not sure whether to put this in the Twitter turd thread or in here, but apparently he left last night for Newcastle. Picture of him with his daughter last night saying cheerio. Its probably rubbish but I thought I'd post this. I don't have the link as I'm at work at the moment but it can be found on Twitter, username: @pmelissalycia

Probably another rumor from an ITK account.

Wouldn't even have a thread on the lad. He is an absolute idiot.

We have always wanted stability for such a long time now, and many thought we had this when Pardew signed the 8 year deal. Always wanted him to see this through, almost like Arty Ziff has over at Sunderland. But, today, I think he completely lost the crowd. Ashley will sack him IMO. Just when more than anything. Can he afford us to go down again? We're obviously deep in the turd. In a tricky situation... Does he back Pardew in the window, or bring in a new face? Probably neither to be honest. Who could we bring in? Adkins I'd like to see given a crack at the whip. We need players badly at the moment but if we sack Pardew, that will surely put any potential targets off? Horrible situation. Personally, I do think we'll stay up!

They're almost full strength as well.

Lets remember Barton has said Remy was staying at Marseille. Then signing for us, and now signing for QPR... The blokes a whopper.
-
If anything I think this transfer will offer a lot more balance to our side. Remy can play CF and either side, I think. Obviously it was a blow to lose Ba and his goals. However, I can't help but think playing Ba left our side really unbalanced. Cisse totally out of position and Simpson behind him was awful. Having Cisse playing CF, HBA and Remy either side we should appear to be more balanced. Add a ball playing CB and a power CM such as Diame and I'd be thrilled!

Newcastle United are ‘a matter of hours away’ from sealing the transfer of Lille right-back Mathieu Debuchy, according to the French football journalist who broke the story. Sky Tyne and Wear spoke to Antoine Placer, who writes for newspaper ‘La Voix Du Nord’, by telephone. He says he understands the French international right-back will join Newcastle as soon as the January transfer window re-opens, subject to him passing a medical and agreeing personal terms. Mr Placer said: "Newcastle and Lille have been in negotiations since Saturday (December 29), and the deal is set to go through in a matter of hours, as soon as the transfer window opens. “The fee is said to be around the six million euros mark. “Debuchy will sign a contract to keep him at Newcastle for between four and five years, but nothing will be announced till New Year’s Day.” The 27-year-old has been a long-term target for the Magpies, who tried and failed to sign him last summer. Real Madrid and Inter Milan were also keen on Debuchy earlier this year - but now he is set to become the latest French recruit for Newcastle. Newcastle's Yohan Cabaye, who also arrived from Lille, is close friends with Debuchy and is believed to have been a major factor in persuading him to move to Tyneside. http://tyneandwear.sky.com/newcastleunited/article/51462 New quotes?

To a degree I think this game suits us more. From what I've seen from Sunderland this season they like too nip and goal and defend for their lives. At home against us they would be expected to attack from the off (From the fans). I think this may suit us. I still fancy it to be 1-1 or 2-1 to us. Counter attacking football like WBA would be amazing.

Fake account that! Notice the extra S in SkySportsSNews

What an absolute Helmet.. Even the hashtag is pointless.

3-0 win. Villa look like a team lost at the moment. Trying out a new system etc. We've had a good start to the season. Beat a very strong Spurs side. Qualified for Europe. Only lost to a very, very good Chelsea side (No shame in that) We may not be playing great stuff, but we grinded a result out against a very good Spurs side. Transfer window aside, there is a lot to be positive about. 3-0. Cisse, Ba, Jonas.
-
Spot on! And we still finished 5th, albeit other teams have improved below us. Still believe we have enough to challenge for a top 7 finish. We where missing Saylor for a large part of last season, and we only had Cisse from January. We'll be fine. Europe's going to take some toll, yes. But last season we had some really off days - like Fulham or Wigan. If we can turn those off we can take a defeat or draw here and there after some Europa League game.
-
Don't see the problem to be honest. We've got a squad capable of pushing for the top 7. Europe is going to take some sort of toll, but if we do revisit these targets in January I've got no qualms with this at all.

Sunderland - You can polish a turd, but it still stinks of shit.

Sweet Jesus. When will they ever learn? Somebody call 999. These fires are raging on Wearside.
