What they seem to be missing is that whilst they are saying the Championship is rubbish, therefore this season will be easier, they finished bottom so there are already 2 teams in the 3rd division that performed better than they did last year. They will also lose any half decent players they have who will need to be replaced. I appreciate they may have more to spend and with a decent manager they should be OK but the assumption that they are there due to some weird accident and they will get a bye through to the Championship is, dare I say, arrogant and deluded

Opening bid is almost certainly donnay socks related

So there aren't many black managers because they're obviously from Africa and are 'by and large' a 'disaster'. You just wonder what kind of brain these people have and why it isn't like that you'd find in a functioning human

Some top level thinking here on the news that N'Dong's transfer has fallen through due to money. What an awful place Sunderland is It’s racist I suppose and won’t go down well but by and large African players have been a disaster for us...stinking attitudes in the main. It’s the main reason you don’t get many black managers imo. They usually aren’t the most professional footballers and are more keen on the celebrity side. Once they retire they go elsewhere and spend their money and don’t go into coaching. Obviously there are English examples like this too but it’s a lower percentage.
  5. I would be amazed if there are any major kick offs in Russia, the authorities will take a pretty dim view I imagine. Given the strong links between the authorities and the hooligan gangs, their human rights record and desire to look diverse and inclusive to the watching world I suspect they have been told to stay indoors
  6. Bet you never see HTT and Fedyan in the same room together

His name is an anagram of SD boast The marketing opportunities are endless

To be honest though none of those are as high profile, I won't use the word big, as us. We might have behaved slightly differently had it been Everton for example

To be fair to them they will be clutching at anything and spinning it as good news given their recent travails. I suspect we would do the same

Mortal drunk at lunchtime? I'm a fan of the mashing the keyboard with your palm approach to posting, it makes life interesting

Plus his surname rhymes with bistro and we love gravy

The way they are tugging themselves stupid about what Charlie Methden said is typical. He is a PR man, plays to the masses but if we laugh at his transparent shite we are ‘rattled’
  15. 1964

    Sunderland

That must have been another one as the PR director claimed to have an affinity to Sunderland on account of not liking Newcastle. If he was Samson the cat he would probably have used that as a reason

Coventry getting promoted will give them something to whinge about next season

I saw that and assumed they mean the one that was married to Prince Andrew

    Sunderland

To be fair to them that is the standard he is used to so its not a bad appointment for a division 3 side
  19. 1964

    Sunderland

Plus they got a points total that would have seen them relegated well before they were in most Championship seasons

Already been announced for next season. Bungalow of Light marra. Ground floor squat in a derelict building is more apt. I thought it was a nice touch when they opened it to the homeless during the recent cold snap. I now realise they had just moved in

    Rafa Benítez

And does he want to manage in a football stadium or an athletics stadium?

    Rafa Benítez

It's close season so any protests would be where exactly? Ashley could gamble that it'll all blow over after the world cup and before August. Plus it gives his mates in sky a chance to develop the spin
