Since Lineker (see '86 and '90) we've had nobody (bar Shearer's one off) who looked like scoring goals when it mattered in the tournaments. The press for some reason have continually ignored this fact, mainly due to the fact that most of them are in Rooney and Owen's pockets. I think it was people getting confused, thinking you meant Lineker and Shearer TOGETHER during '96, because I read it like that at first before reading again EDIT: Already explained, too slow me

Agree. The only possible reason I can think of is that Pardew is worried about Ben Arfa losing the ball with our centre-halves marooned in the opposition box. Which is a valid concern tbh. Plus if we keep doing it, he'd just get ganged up on and crowded out. Would rather simply try and get better deliveries into the box, also agree with what you say Dave, it's what Arsenal are doing at the moment and it looks like a pretty decent tactic imo it is a valid concern as the defenders would be behind the play in that event. but as it's worked already it should be part of our locker rather than something we do every time. if defences get scared and put an extra man over than that's one less player they'll have in the box defending which can only be to our benefit. I drove home, went to the hospital the next day and got mis-diagnosed, went back to work two weeks later (i was a removals man, no sick pay). Played football for a month or so a year later before i collapsed in a heap. Got mis-diagnosed again. Three years after snapping it i got a MRI and 6 months after that it got repaired. Amazing what you can do really. Same, managed to limp it off and drive home, next day I couldn't walk though. Gutted for Ryan, horrible thing to have happen.

Didn't bother. Because transfers are just that simple. Doesn't get a lot more simple than the player actually to come here though does it? Clubs like to make out that transfers are oh-so-complicated but it's funny how they manage to get several done in a day when they need to. Aye. If both clubs want deal done ASAP it'll be done ASAP. Well obviously, the problem is if the clubs disagree about something. I say "didn't bother" because I don't think we tried hard enough, in fact I think we took the piss with our valuation. I know spending over the odds is something we've done before and it's fucked us, but surely if we met their valuation it'd be done.
