trademark Miggy screamer

Was a pen on Diaby rather than a foul on the keeper there imo

Brighton just completely not up for the physical battle
-
The Mbappe solution is us completely fucking dominating them and scoring 5

Livramento got his injury in April and came back in May the following year. Krafth got his in pre-season (July/August) so similar recovery times really. edit: I think if players are coming back from an ACL in 9 months they're doing it wrong these days. Seems to take a year now and the chances of a full recovery are much greater than they were in Shearer's time. edit 2: turns out Krafth got his in the EFL 2nd round at the end of August.

Lascelles had 88% pass completion and Dummmett 91%!

One of the things I’ve noticed over the last few months is that Wilson is very good at leading the press. He pretty much always plays with 100% intensity. Don’t take this as some massive criticism or owt, but sometimes Isak doesn’t and you can tell it’s not a natural part of his game at times. One of the biggest changes yesterday was that he came out for the second half and ran himself into the ground chasing and pressing like Wilson does. It really sets the tone for the rest of the team when the forwards press like him and Gordon did second half. If he can get fitter and start doing that over 60-90 minutes his game will be pretty much complete.

Difficult for him but he is good with the ball. 10/10 passes completed and only lost possession twice.
-
Was pretty good, you know
-
I do wonder if he could play left back, like. Was fantastic defensively today and his distribution was top notch too. 93% pass completion in a game like that is something.

Always rated Big Jam.

Leave Bruno alone Pep

7 tackles for Livramento so far in this game. Brilliant display.
-
Lascelles’ distribution has legit been good
-
we are seeing what Tonali is actually good at second half
-
great work from Tonali there
-
like Wilson, Gordon sets the tone in the press.

He was good against Villa as an 8. That was the only game he had good preparation time for by the sounds of it. The rest of the time he has look lost admittedly, but he’s barely trained so it can be excused. The point is more that his profile is clearly not suited to the role he’s being asked to play tonight imo. He has won most of his duels tonight and made two tackles. That’s more his game.
-
Tonali is clearly an 8 rather than a 6.
-
Tonali is good at winning duels and carrying the ball. It’s pretty clear that he can’t play as a 6 though because he cannot do the first phase build up at all.
-
that has to be a goal, man

love him but Murphy has been terrible. Real lack of work rate too surprisingly
