this is just mean now
-
they are an absolute disgrace
-
Them going more narrow and leaving Trippier completely free seems unwise
-
Honestly reckon 20 points might be safe in the PL this season . Fucking shame because any other year I’d be relishing Chelsea going down.
-
He’s absolutely mint, like. Really starting to develop now and getting better every game.
-
Genuinely a world class player
-
And then a sympathy not letting us take the corner . It cannot be understated how shit officials are.
-
been giving them sympathy calls for 20 minutes now. So boring and predictable
-
this is pretty brutal. Somehow there is massive space in front of and behind their defence
-
Longstaff looks a million dollars out there
-
what a brutal delivery that is btw, wow
-
Need Anderson for the geordie hat trick now
-
Bruno pls
-
I have no idea what the handball rules are
-
Felt like that was an easy pass for Bruno to make
-
ffs more injuries
-
Any time the ball goes near Botman I relax . He’s another level this year.
-
unfortunately looks like we’re going to have to accept spurs are good this season

I don't think it's harsh tbh. We created absolutely nothing other than the Longstaff effort at the end and we conceded almost 3xG which is a lot. I don't think Milan are that much better than us man for man on paper. They're not Man City, Arsenal, Bayern tier, are they. There were some good individual performances but as a team we were really poor and disjointed. I don't think that's an unfair assessment. We all know how well we can play. We saw it 80%+ of the time last season. That was nowhere near. It's forgivable given the context of the game of course, and I don't really care that we were bad because I got to see Jacob Murphy, Sean Longstaff and Dan Burn playing for Newcastle in the CL at the San Siro . In the future we'll have a bunch of mercenaries and it won't mean anywhere near as much as it did to those guys.
-
His position in the team has to be the one Longstaff plays long term, right? Not as deep as Bruno but able to drop deep to help link up with him, Trippier and Almirón. In his last couple of appearances he's played way too high and I don't think he's suited to it.
-
Completed 7 passes in his 72 minutes on the pitch . That’s definitely a bit of a structural issue.
-
Most progression usually comes from defenders seeing as they are the ones with all of the pitch ahead of them tbf. Trippier is always our most progressive player by absolutely miles though. I really think we should be dropping Bruno and Tonali deeper to revive the ball off the CBs more though.
