  1. Always had faith in him and his value to the team. His individual performances have improved recently but he's been important in all our positive results this season.
  2. I don't think it's surprising that Lampard is a good pundit. He was a great player tactically as well as being very intelligent in general. Hopefully he'll make a good manager in the future.
  3. I suppose the alternative would be to play Perez as the main striker and then Play Merino or Atsu behind.
  4. I thought his hold up play was very valuable in the second half yesterday. Not everything he tries comes off, but he bought us a lot of time and was hugely important to helping us see out the game.
  5. It's a shame we don't have a decent striker, like. Jones and Smalling can be got at.
  6. Aye, he was sure right from the start.
  7. If we'd signed a striker earlier in the window we win that game. Unforgivable.
  8. Fair play to Diamé, mind. He has been superb. Much better in a deeper ball-winning role.
  9. "Hey look everyone. We might not have bought anyone, but look at this player we've kept hold of that everyone likes."
  10. Darlow; Yedlin, Lascelles, Clark, Dummett; Merino, Diame; Atsu, Perez, Kenedy; Joselu Decent enough team, like.
  11. Was going to say that Klopp rotates more. I can't find any PL stats, but De Bruyne for example has covered more distance than anyone else who's played 5 games in the CL this season - https://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2018/statistics/round=2000881/players/index.html#order=3desc
  12. Which, if anything, makes me more suspicious about his teams. When Guardiola tested positive his sample showed 6 times the limit for a steroid which aids recovery and reduces fatigue. Maybe I'm paranoid about it from following professional cycling for years, but people buried their heads in the sand about that too before it all came out in the 90s.
  13. Man City have some incredible players and I love watching them play, but I do wonder about the legitimacy of their performances. Some of their players play pretty much every game and they do so to an incredible standard and intensity which I haven't really seen before. It's not like Guardiola doesn't have a dodgy history with PEDs. Drug testing in football is more or less non-existent compared to endurance sports, but they've already been charged this season for missing tests, which I find amazing for a top level professional club.
  14. Zero creativity in this Spurs team, like.
  15. Can't work out if he's lacking in confidence or just lazy. Doesn't really seem to apply himself at all in anything he does.
