  1. Probably been given the heads up that he’s a shoe in for the NUFC job again when Brewcie walks in the summer…
  2. Townsend will be back here under Bruce on a free, won’t he…? ?‍♂️I’d be surprised if we’re not in for McCarthy/mcCarthur too.
  3. I’m not saying they haven’t. And fair play to them. But the argument about not being in the stadium is causing the team to not play as well as they should is bullshit
  4. You blame the lack of fans, but it’s simply the exact same for ALL teams. It’s just an excuse.
  5. Aye, I’m sure your fans would be supporting the team, just like they have been outside the stadium… fans are huge? The Old Trafford variety are even quieter than those at St James. ‘Prawn sandwich brigade’ indeed.
  6. In the local Greggs, swapped for a steak bake?
  7. The celebratory extra butter might finish him off?
  8. He would be, but already linked with currently bigger clubs than us- AC Milan and Arsenal amongst others. ‘We tried’?
  9. Surely have to be Chris Wilder. Free, out of work, British, lower league level… or Neil Lennon.
  10. He seriously needs to apply for the Salford job. Taxi ride from his house, at his ability level, fans onside from the off due to his MUFC history and connections. It’s a no brainer.
  11. Possibly. As well as having permanent clauses that the stadium be renamed after Mike himself, and the Gallowgate after Wor Brewcie as a last ‘fuck you’ to the fans.
  12. We’ll never know, given the free advertising for his other businesses that NUFC do but aren’t paid for. It’s a lot more than just the simple financial cash value.
  13. It’s not simply about financial compensation- it is also to get the PL to apply and provide a result for the owners/directors test which they failed to give a verdict on for months. Do you seriously think PIF aren’t still there in the background in all this?
  14. Media prefer to be concentrating on whether Fat Sam stays with the Baggies after his first relegation, than be concerned with significant ongoing legal proceedings against the PL and hence our possible takeover.
  15. Wasn’t he being given a job in the ESL, or have I dreamt that?
  16. For all we know, following the fall of the ESL, further evidence has been provided to us by other clubs maybe? Who knows? But as others have said, it’s extremely unlikely to be going ahead without the club being in receipt of evidence.
  17. Good old Joey L. Thanks for your valued input as ever in this particular thread. Want to give us any more of your expert negativity?

Not to mention athleticism, fitness, determination…
  19. Not as such. You can put away your party poppers for the time being.
  20. Relative to Bruce, or a ‘normal’ manager?
  21. http://sportwitness.co.uk/newcastle-come-forward-manager-past-hours-magpies-tussle-along-wolves/ Gattuso linked to us in Italy
  22. It’s also worth noting that what you have stated is absolutely incorrect. Firearms officers are trained to shoot for the centre mass, being the largest target, and so is often the chest, but can also be whatever else is available including the head. NO training is given to ‘shoot to disable’ by aiming for an arm, leg, wrist or ankle. FFS. They ARE trained to use minimum force, yes, but by taking a shot as a last resort, that shot is more than likely going to result in a death. Much like each kick to a head, every shot fired will have to be justified, proportionate, necessary, accountable and legal. Two kicks to the head in the eyes of a layperson sounds outrageous, and quite possibly this will be borne out in court, resulting in a subsequent conviction - but until the facts of the matter are fully revealed as ED209 says, no one here can judge what happened. Certainly not by an alleged ex police officer who obviously doesn’t know the law, let alone the facts of the incident in question. anyway….RIP Dalian. He was a class player back in the day, and I’m sorry to hear of his struggles after retirement, leading to his death.
  23. Tell us…is kicking someone in the head less justified than shooting someone dead? If ‘reasonable force’ can be justified to take someone’s life in a premeditated action like a shooting, how can the same not apply to a kick? It’s an extreme action and admittedly it’d be a rare time that anyone would find themselves in that situation, but to say you simply ‘can’t’ is nonsense. Similarly I could legally pick up a brick and put it into someone’s head if I thought it was proportionate, and justifiable.
