  1. Papers have linked him to Man Utd, Liverpool, Spurs, Barca, amongst several others, and most often to Chelsea in the last few days (strangely).
  2. Just from Bild: “BILD learned two clear wishes from those around him: A winter transfer is now only conceivable if it really is one of the four dream clubs where the Frenchman sees himself in the long term: Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Paris St Germain. On the other hand, clubs like Newcastle United and Aston Villa, which are also very interested, can save their offers.” https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/borussia-moenchengladbach/wende-verzichtet-borussia-moenchengladbach-auf-die-thuram-millionen-82399840.bild.html
  3. It’s frustrating at times seeing clubs make signings (especially when we’ve been linked too), but we have no idea how long those clubs have been scouting/laying the groundwork etc. I imagine their timescales are similar/same as our own. Signings don’t happen overnight, and not even within days, despite what comes out in the media. It’s usually months in advance.
  4. Except when it comes to the matter of consent. Allegedly.
  5. If he comes back in the summer he’ll only have 12 months left on his contract with his. There’s no way he’d stay for that time, imo- the club would want rid for the wages and a little money back, and I reckon the man himself would prefer some actual game time elsewhere before he retires.
  6. Dammit…well that prediction didn’t last long! ?‍♂️
  7. Gonna call it now…Wood out, Depay in, both on loan.
  8. Presuming that the Wood sale rumours are true, of course….not so sure myself. edit- just seen The Athletic news. Maybe, then.
  9. Question marks over attitude and work rate according to the tweet. Don’t know if that’s from selling or buying perspective though.
  10. Three clubs in for Caicedo according to Sky now (one being Chelsea, obviously). Wonder if we’re one.
  11. “He has previous with Eddie Howe, but made just four Premier League starts in his only full season under the Newcastle coach after signing from Club Brugge in 2019. Since then, he’s shown some great form in Spain and was linked with a move to St James’ Park over the summer, but there are question marks over his attitude a work rate. I’m told the player and club have touched base, however, it seems unlikely Newcastle will go for it. Chris Wood may be off to Forest, so there could be something to it, as he is a versatile forward who can play out wide and through the middle. Stranger things have happened and Newcastle do tend to have an ace up their sleeve, but I can’t see it myself.” (J.Talbot, as per above tweet)
  12. Injury prone left winger? Rings a bell. No thanks.
  13. First permanent signing at Leicester since Jan 2018? Faes signed last Sept for £15m?
  14. Has already said he doesn’t want to come here, no?
  15. “the FA panel did, however conclude that Yems: Described Muslim members of the squad as "terrorists" Deliberately mispronounced the second half of Arnold Schwarzenegger's name to emphasise the N-word Used a racial stereotype to a black player of African origin by asking if he liked jerk chicken Told Muslim players "your people blow up stuff with vests" Said that an Iraqi youth international at the club "would probably blow up the stadium" Repeatedly made comments about another player "carrying a bomb in his bag" Called one player a "curry muncher" and asked if the player was unhappy that they did not server "curry pizza" Made a remark to one player about "how dark his skin is'" on his return to Crawley after representing Grenada A sanctions document indicates the FA pushed for a two-year suspension but the independent panel agreed with Yems' solicitors that their client was not a racist and neither did he "ever intend to make racist remarks".” FFS.
  16. Strange that. Almost as if they got a kick out of winding NUFC fans up…
  17. Liverpool would surely be in for him, with their aging midfield and the fact he’s on a free to go with the notion they can’t compete financially with transfer fees.
  18. Sky were talking about it earlier and three presenters all said that Inter would happily let him go for €30m to make money as they’d only paid 15 and were desperate for the cash. They all also said he’s quite limited technically and basically got forward by pushing his way up the field physically rather than by skill or tactically. Came across as a decent signing for sub top team to be honest.
  19. Thank fuck for that (if true)
  20. This a rumour or you just throwing the name out?
