Depends on next few days according to Howe. Sounds more like they’ll assess his state of mind rather than drop him for discipline.

Same with alcohol, with various other legal products containing alcohol that could provide a trace result, like mouthwash. Hence you couldn’t have a zero policy.
  4. There was talk on Sky earlier about Forest coming close to failing FFP, so have been trying to get pay the price in instalments which Palmeiras weren’t happy with. They can’t be far off with their previous spending and lack of shirt sponsorship
  5. Other than Woodgate for Real. ?

Home testers can be fairly accurate initially, but they will eventually deteriorate and become less accurate over time, so can’t give an accurate measurement. Plus they would have to be initially calibrated so as to show the correct measurement, and who’s to say that is done right in the factory etc?

I’m sure a load of people don’t bother declaring an arrest, let alone a conviction, and are ok/allowed in to the USA. Their government states that you should do though, prior to entry, and should apply for a visa prior to a visit. Depends if they catch you, I guess, what your offence was, and if that justifies them letting you in or putting you on the next plane home. Plus, as you say, a holiday would be seen differently to work- whether that counts for or against your entry, I wouldn’t know.

An individual who has been arrested (much less charged/convicted) would have (is advised to by the US authorities) to apply for a visa as opposed to getting a standard visa waiver via ESTA. It may be that any visa application could be denied, although that’s usually for serious or imprisonable offences which I’m not sure Joelintons will be classed as.

Because of the popularity of football and the players, Joelinton and all other employees represent the club 24/7, and their actions are constantly being scrutinised by fans, media etc etc. His name is associated with NUFC. He’s not known as Joelinton, but Joelinton the NUFC player. The club has been dragged into this by his actions whether you agree that he represented them at the time of the alleged offence or not.

I’m pretty sure that a court appearance will come under bringing the club into disrepute, which I’m also pretty sure will be deemed a disciplinary ’offence’ by the club.

This is a bit daft too. Drink affects everyone differently and someone could have ‘one’ and be very drunk (just as someone else could have more and be fine). Depends on tolerances, tiredness, body composition/weight, other food and drink consumed and various other things. The issue being that having ‘one’ and driving isn’t illegal- BUT you have to take responsibility and know how it affects you after that.
  13. “Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has reportedly broken off contract renewal talks with Lazio as Newcastle United’s interest grows stronger. The 27-year-old Serbian star’s current deal expires with the club in June 2024 and his renewal has been a key talking point this season in the Italian capital. Lazio do not want to lose Milinkovic-Savic and have been desperately trying to tie him down to a new contract, but the player is seemingly interested in finally taking the next step in his career. As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic’s agent Mateja Kezman has suspended contract renewal talks with Lazio, suggesting that his client is ready to leave the club this year.“ https://thelaziali.com/2023/01/12/newcastle-serious-about-milinkovic-savic/

At Formello everyone denies, there is talk of offers never arrived on Tare's desk, but market rumours intrigue and distract. Lotito made it clear that "it is not on the market," but with an agreement expiring in 2024 and the non-renewal, anything is possible. The Pressing of the Premier is therefore returning to close relevance from the parts of the Capital and in the coming days the issue could become hot. To bring it back is Il Messaggero.”

  16. Been injured a fair bit, but when selected, seems to have not performed particularly well, and so has lost a lot of support. I don’t think wearing the no.10 whilst doing so will have helped much. https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomsanderson/2023/01/10/ansu-fati-has-become-a-problem-for-the-fc-barcelona-locker-roomreports/?sh=5ee3d76657a9
  17. Physical and gets about but doesn’t score many. His game seems to be more about bringing others in to play.
  18. Fuck that. They’re desperate for cash and to get players off the wage bill.
  19. League Cup winners receive £100,000 prize money (awarded by the Football League) with the runners-up receiving £50,000, so can’t see it even paying for a week of Chris Woods wages, sadly.
