In my opinion they have about 3 maybe 4 players that would get in our team, Benteke (Joselu), Zaha(Either winger probably Atsu) and Probably Cabaye (Hayden) other than that I would rather keep what we have. Sahko has the odd good game and Townsend maybe based on his form when he was here would have a shout, but they're not definte upgrades to what we have at all. Loftus Cheek looks decent from what i've seen, but i wouldn't swap him for Shelvey or Merino. Forgot about Perez, Zaha can have his spot and then keep our 2 wingers

This is it. A player that provides Joselu's all-round game that is likely to score 15 goals pers season isn't available for 5m. As it is, he's a bargain and our best option. But aye his finishing with his feet looks weak. Exactly if he did both he'd be worth 20mil easily. Does everything else pretty well apart from finishing with his feet, if he bags a couple though and builds a little confidence he could go on a hot streak. Well thats what I hope happens anyway

His overall play had made us look better as a team, so for me he has to start. Snatched at all 3 chances abit, but doesn't deserve to lose his place over it. Hopefully his finishing will come soon and Mitro can pick a few bits up from him and improve himself

Anyone know why he wasn't involved at all today? Would have expected him to be ahead of Murphy, hopefully it just a case of not rushing him rather than another injury.

There was a moment today where it was like a game of head tennis, after about 5 if fell to him and most would have just headed it again, but not this guy he jumped and chested it down and played out of a tight space. He's just soo good.

Think he is keeping his place due to his work rate atm, his closing down has been great so far this season and stops teams being settled when trying to play out a lot of the time. Just needs to sharpen up a tiny bit to be more effective going the other way.

Was poor on the ball today, definitely up there as one of his worst performances for us. Even with that said it would be harsh for him to be dropped off the back of that, as I doubt he'll play like that again for while.

As much as i hate diving and it should have been a yellow. I also quite like the fact we have a player that stops us being so nice during games, he's willing to do a few dirty little things to give us a little helping hand, we need a few more to do that at times, just in the right way

More than capable as a back up, but after a poor 1st 30 odd minutes i thought he grew into the game well, anyone with pace could destroy him. Not good enough to start. I prefer him to Manquillo personally as he looks to have decent quality on the ball, although being very slow is a worry.

After reading that, it would be good to see him at number 10 with Hayden and Shelvey behind at some point.

I think that a little harsh on Hayden. He might not open a team up with a pass, but he drives passed the forwards well at times and has delivered a few decent balls across the box. I'm just happy we now have 3 players in midfield that you can make a case for starting, instead of seeing Colback every week..

ITK Maybe they're sitting with him? Yeah apologies I got this wrong, maybe should have asked before commenting. They've gone up to spend time with him his family, I've asked about what's wrong him Dwight and been told it's a hamstring problem. I'm not claiming to be ITK just passing on what I've been told by a friend who is close to Dwight

Should be playing tomorrow, as a few of my mates who are close to him have gone up for the game/weekend and they only go if he's playing (not Newcastle fans).

Comfortably mid table??.....i very much doubt it, as it is i think we are certs for the drop....lose Gayle and we won't score goals and even Gayle will do well if he hits 10+ desperately need another striker and number 10 to chip in with goals I'll be very shocked if a fit Gayle hasn't scored near 10 by Christmas

Wilshere would excite me as a signing, if he could get fit and string a good run of games together he would be class, if injuries haven't completely destroyed him. He doesn't seem to treat his body well away from the game, so those are both big ifs.

From the day he signed I was excited about playing for us, hopefully he can keep injury free, which is a big hope. If he does he will be class for us though

Still think he will be class of us, IF he can stay fit for a big part of the season. Thats a massive IF though

Am I the only thinking that he wants Huddlestone for when Shelvey needs a rest for the odd game or for the last 20 of games here and there. If Rafa could get him play near his best it would be a great move for 2mil if you ask me

I love Rafa, but we need to play more attacking football in this league. Just on tonight, as soon as we went 1 down it should have been 2 up top.

Definitely in a lot better shape and looks a yard sharper for it. Had a decent burst of pace a couple of times tonight. Also seemed to have a lot more composure on the ball for the most part, thought he was excellent tonight.
