Ibe ran at him a lot, got near the box on the outside, but Dummett blocked most if not all of the final pass/cross attempts. I think the switch came about from Klopp, because Dummett looked to be leaving a lot of space on the inside and Ibe kept going outside, i think he hoped Milner could try going inside a couple of times. Either way it failed, Dummett was very good defensively in my mind

As stated 10 & 3 are as good as it gets in that respect Madness. Number 8 is winning the face contest by so much it's not even a contest.

I personally don't see why the club should pay for his medical bills, for a non football related injury. I wouldn't expect my boss to pay for my medical bills in any situation that didn't involve a work related injury, that was in some way his fault.

Mitrovic picked up a knock. fair enough if he was injured, if it qas just tiredness though we were going to have to defend a lot for last part of the game and would have much rather had a knackered mitro defending set pieces than perez.

I agree we need to upgrade, but we must get Williamson out 1st, then taylor and then line up a replacement for Colo before he is sold. He is still the best of a bad bunch still.

Love Perez like everyone else does, but to say he should be starting as a no 10 of De Jong is a bit mental to me. I want to see him play as much as possible, but De Jong is a class act, we haven't seen it in a Newcastle shirt yet granted, but that doesn't change how good he is. I'd also prefer to see Perez either wide of a 3 or right up next to a bigger stronger striker as a 2 before in the no 10 role

Colo and Mbemba could make a good pairing in my view. Colo may have looked a shadow of his former self, but putting him next to the right partner could bring a lot of his form back. I know we won't be seeing the absolute best of him again, but he can look good enough to make us more of a solid team. This could be hopeful thinking on my part, as I have never seen mbemba play, but all his listed attributes seem to make him a perfect partner for Colo (even if many think he could do with being a few inches taller)

He could/should be key to what our midfield look like this season, him anchoring leaves us a lot of options next to and in front of him. Let's just hope them fews games of good form are just the start

all three sub made zero sense to me, surely haidara should have come on for taylor with dummett going centre back and then gouffran off cabella on. 1st half actually decent apart from the defending for the goal, we are so suspect from long balls as well
