Not better, but more suited to the formation that have been playing. Perez is one of my favorite players, but he is not at his best in that wide left slot. Needs to be more central to get the best out of him.

Not rated him in the prem, but has looked like a decent player in Europa league and for England. There's a good winger in there, just not sure how good. Certainly don't think its 14mil good.

He is really growing on me now, never really lets his man get a clean cross/shot in and gives an option when attacking a lot more now. His crossing is pretty awful, but he did cut a lovely ball back to Gini on Saturday. All his faults can be improved upon in training, so I don't see playing him until the summer as a big issue at all.

To me is seemed he was just getting a little revenge for Colback, as Valencia blocks him twice just before and Shelvey then just did the with one strong block instead of 2 weak ones.

Dont really want him, but looking on the bright side he does has the attributes to be good on the left. Great pace, decent left foot (not seen cross that much though) and at times has a good shot on him using either foot. At least it should make our attack more fluid as we can go either left or right, instead of every team knowing if we go wide it'll be through Sissoko/Janmaat

Normally I would be happy with 8 mil for him, but over the last few games he has shown that he is thr best suited sitting alone in front of a back 4. So would rather keep him till the summer and hope we can flog him then. Colcack-Shelvey would be tragic, i think Anita-Shelvey could work and we know nothing about Saivet, so Tiote-Shelvey would be the best choice for now

Crazy if this is the end of him already, young player that has potential. I've seen players from abroad look a lot worse than him and then come good in the past, he needs games. I know we're not really in the position to give players loads of time to adjust, but we have had chances to give him a lot more game time so far and Perez just doesn't look himself atm, so why not rest him

Would be good to see Shelvey in for Colback and Thauvin in for Perez for this. Dont know enough about Saivet to be calling for him to start just yet and Tiote has looked capable of protecting the back four a little in the last few games

We looked to have a game plan and have game by game been tweeking little things, which is good to see. On the downside though, how did he bring on Toney and Gouffran before De Jong?? His subs always seem really bad either wrong player or too late

Keep forgetting how young he is and never realised he is younger than Perez. Think all the main flaws he has showed so far can be ironed out with a mixture of confidence, better fitness and working on his finishing.

Would much rather Thauvin is given a run than sign Townsend. we know Townsend is pretty crap already, so why not find out about the winger we already have 1st. I he has only scored 3 goals that is atrocious, as i somehow remember him scoring a pen at some point.

Well it's down to public perception of the players really. Perez is always talking about how great the fans are and about the history of the club and stuff like that, plus he has performed well for us in the recent past. The public perception of Thauvin is that he struts around in a tux and doesn't really care, and also he hasn't really done anything for the club yet so he's an easy target Surely if Perez gets the history of the club and knows the fans, he should know better not to do and should get more stick for it, rather than destroy a signing that hasn't really had a chance to show what he can do yet and clearly isn't used to the pace or physical side of the game here either.

surely taking him off before him get injured again was a good idea in the long run, he's not played much at all. So a full 90 on his 1st game back would have probably been too much and could have risked injury

Very harsh to say he should have saved the goal, he could of, but it was never a should of saved that moment

He has had a good couple of games, but nothing more than that. Made some decent saves, that most prem keepers would save, but not all. Hopefully the game time and some decent training helps him shed a few pounds and his game improves.

I'd say give him one more game starting, both the last 2 we wasn't really gonna have loads of the ball. I think villa will make themselves as hard as they can be break down and he could be key to that in and around the box. Preferably Mitrovic in front of him as well
