Same. Both him and Fernandez are our most improved players under Bruce and both looked finished here. Aside from ASM he’s been our best player since the restart, arguably this season.

Missed the second half and reading back through this thread I’m guessing it was poor. Shame after what was in part another good performance in the first half.

Don’t get how you can watch that half and say we’re lucky to be in it. It’s the mostly evenly contested game I’ve seen in ages. Both teams playing decent.

Interested to see how we react after going behind to a similar standard of team.

Weirdly I was thinking the exact opposite watching that match. Thought Mooy is a bit of a Paul Dummet version of Shelvey. Mooy will put in a decent shift every week but don’t think he has the class that Shelvey can produce.

Yea, I think I’m the same on this. Although I think Lejeune looks just as good in a two the Lascelles and Fernandez combo just seems to work best at the minute.

Reads like absolute shit stirring. I don’t doubt he’ll need a new contract this summer but to suggest there’s a current problem seems unlikely to me.

I think it gets overlooked how dominant he is in the air too and how important that is. I don’t think there’s another English centre back that commands the area like he does. Mings is probably the closest but has the draw back of being an absolute over rated calamity. I’d definitely have him in the England squad but he doesn’t seem to be in favour Southgate for whatever reason.

Some of their transfers have been ambitious but haven’t worked out. Ibe and Solanke off the top of my head. Fraser really let them down in my opinion. I do hope they stay up, it’s a brilliant story from where they’ve came from. I don’t think it’ll happen though.
