Finneran looked decent as well

From an earlier post, I think the winger that Shearer lost it about was Alan O’Brien ? Anyone mentioned Mike Larnach yet ? Home debut was against Liverpool , looked completely lost but at least managed to get one shot away which was more than I think he did in his other dozen or so games up front before he disappeared back to the lower Scottish divisions where he’d come from.

And the BBC rating is based on “ fans” clicking on line. Get the impression it's probably some fat incel twat still living with his mam at 35 giggling away to himself while he repeatedly presses “1” for two hours. Probably the high point of his week.

Worst midfielders? Oates, Heard , Geremi, Smith, Faye

Think that was Bassong

Going back to strikers, has to be Frank Pingel. No redeeming features whatever. Equally out of his depth was Mike Larnach. Watched him on his debut at home to Liverpool I think, and he looked reasonably lively and have vague memories of him putting a half chance just wide and thought that there might be something there. Nope, absolutely shocking in every other game . Think it was 15 without scoring before we peddled him back to Clydebank or wherever.

Edwards' tweet about "no shares to control" is utter bollocks. Fatty owns 100% of the shares in the holding co that owns the shares in the football club company, so if he sells those holding co shares to you then you own it . That's how a takeover works. Unbelievable that a journalist doesn't understand this. Or maybe not...

To say nothing of both allowing nonces to continue in their employment...

Here's one.. The accounts filed are the consolidated ones, Newcastle United Ltd is the parent company but all or virtually all the trade goes through Newcastle United Football Club Ltd the main subsidiary (as per note 15). The Company Statement of Financial Position (bollocks new term for Balance Sheet) has as its main asset the investment in the subsidiaries. Presumably the Football Club Ltd accounts will be filed now or very soon but they won't be much different overall as the note says that the parent Co profit and loss account only has a loss of £18k (I think) which is quite probably all auditors fees.

Good was two years injured since he was out on loan wasnt he?
-
Don't like saying this after how much promise he seemed to have but he's looking more and more like just a better version of Vuckic- clear that he has the technical ability but needs more time on the ball than he's ever likely to get to use it, and just doesn't seem to have a position where we don't have better options. Can see him spending a large proportion of his future, here or wherever, on the bench.

Where's Mbabu ? Inured again/still/forever ?

"...from the Board Room to the Boot Room..." He's been on one of those shit creative writing classes, hasn't he ?

Five pages and nobody's mentioned Graham Oates ? Was at the Man U game mentioned earlier re John Bird where him and Oates got equally classic ogs. within minutes of each other Memory might be playing tricks after all these years and at the time I was probably half pissed after a couple of hours in the Duke of Edinburgh (or somewhere round there anyway) but I think where Bird went for power Oates managed to beat Mahoney with a delicate lob. And no "worst of " team could possibly exclude Andreas bloody Andersson.

If we're going to bring TvZ songs up, I would hope that its "No Deal" where Shola is concerned, although that would probably be more appropriate for the transfer rumours...
