  1. Crystal Palace also does the "press and breakaway" tactic away from home. To great effect too, until they fell apart at Man CIty and ours.

    Marc Guehi

Just realised that, other than the goal for us, he also "assisted the assist" by passing it to Lacroix in a very dangerous area. He'd be happy to join us if only to not have to play against us again.
  3. Hope it's bollocks. He'll be 29 come November and has a fucked Achilles that hasn't been resolved in ages. https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2025/4/16/24409677/bayern-munichs-kim-min-jae-could-be-the-case-study-for-injury-mismanagement-kompany
  4. I see how every single player in our team celebrate together when someone scores a goal. And then I compare it with how Cherki last night (and Garnacho the other day) do that "one man stands alone" cringey celebrations (Cherki even gestured to hold off a teammate) - and I think, like, "GTFO, you're not better than the collective". I suppose if we sign any of these kids, the Elder Statesmen of the squad will have a word and sort them out quickly.
  5. Loved it how Joelinton was raging at being fouled (7.40 into the match cam) and Trippier had to literally scruff him as if he were a misbehaving kitten .
  6. Five goals, five different scorers. We're mint (thanks Marc)!
  7. Taken with a pinch of salt because hindsight is 20/20, but this is an entertaining watch from Adam Cleary. Two interesting points: 1) How the tactics team apparently tweaked our formation in the second half after they identified Fake Bruno as a significant playmaking threat on the left; and 2) Crystal Palace (who we face next), seemingly shit the bed big-time when they get pressed upfield.
  8. I remember us being linked with Ugarte while he was at Sporting. There’s a reason PSG got rid of him after a season.
  9. First double over them since 1931! Another record quietly made! Also, we just ensured that Man Utd will finish the season with their lowest ever points total in the Premier League. Two records!
  10. I remember the emphatic denials by forum favourite @Milanista along the lines of "Let me be clear - you're not signing Tonali.". And then he signed. Good times.
  11. Cunha strangely makes sense for us because he has the skills of certain players that would need replacing: Long shooting of Schar; Set-piece/corner skills of Trippier; Striking skills of Wilson; So in a scenario where he is Murphy's replacement on the right forward position - then he simultaneously covers for Schar and Trippier's offensive skills if both of them are no longer playing. If Isak is out, then he becomes the covering striker, with Murphy on the right. In all scenarios, Cunha also has the creative vision to unlock teams who play a low block. His versatility is exceptional. The only downside is attitude and workrate - being in a team with his compatriots, and being coached by Howe will go some way towards sorting those out. I'd be excited if Cunha joins us. Plenty of competition out there for a player of his calibre.
  12. Seems like some Blackpool fans have been gaslit into supporting him, judging by the comments in that tweet. Dear God.
  13. How does this fat fuck still have friends in the press? https://www.reddit.com/r/NUFC/comments/1jhksnj/outrageous_journalism/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button
  14. That's the way the cookie crumbles.
  15. Not a teenage wunderkind, but really looks like he's on the verge of stepping up a gear and peaking. Really elegant, intelligent, and two-footed. Can play left, right or as a 10. Actually reminds me of Ekitike in his style of play, only not a striker.
  16. Love how Gordon jumps into BDB’s arms like a wee bairn. He looks so happy to be one of the lads.

    Harvey Barnes

Amazing that our threat all came down our “second string” left-hand side too.

    David Squires

Some of it amusing (Sandro still tying his laces at the end), but he laid on the “Saudi bad” angle just waaay too thick.
  20. I chanced upon Adam Pearson's video of the win, and I was really happy for him and the other obsessed superfans of his ilk. Imagine how emotional it must've been for that lot.
  21. Bloody love the idea that his dad and lass sits in the stands with all the fans. I can imagine his heart pure bursting with pride! His son, Brazilian international, captaining his club to its first trophy in 70 years, adored by an entire city. What a life!
  22. "We go on the pitch as players, we leave it as legends." No idea who is coaching him in media, but he's acing all the interviews.

    Joelinton
