Amorim out by November and overtures to Glasner thereafter, is my prediction.

Plus, Liverpool fans balking at 150mil is ironic given that they have set a stupid benchmark by paying 117 million for a PL-untested midfielder in this same window. All this talk about "they should sell for 130 because it will be a British record transfer" is just deliberate and mischievous framing.

….who Real Sociedad signed to replace their former striker called Alexander, funnily enough.
-
If Isak is a Henry regen, Sorloth is a Dzeko regen. Two of them on song would be immense.
-
Sorloth's career is amazing like. 11 clubs in ten years (four of them on loan). Played for Palace and couldn't score at all there. Late bloomer at 28/29 just like wor Chris Wood. I think he was brought in as Isak's replacement at Sociedad on loan from Leipzig that year?

If it gets done, I reckon it’ll be after the Liverpool match, to avoid Romano/Ornstein stirring the pot again with “Wissa in, paving way for Isak’s transfer! He Only Wants Liverpool!” before the big game.
-
Hopefully we get a CEO and a DoF in. The people in charge of managing the club as a business, and how the squad grows and progresses will immediately have to buckle down to the task of handling the business aspect of Isak's future and the best moves to make, with proper consideration of all the factors. I'm not sure who is doing it now, but Eddie should rightly only be in charge of handling the playing staff and maximizing their output. To Isak, the message should be "you stay put as you're under contract. Nothing meets the criteria for you to leave at this moment. The management team will take your future up with you in due course. But it will also depend on you meeting the basic terms of your current contract with us." One step at a time. First priority is to draw a line under this saga ASAP, and this means to slap the "No Sale" sticker on him immediately. Monday afternoon, just to rattle the Scouse.

I mean, we currently have zero replacement for Wilson, much less Isak, and looks like we have zero clue who to replace Wilson with (much less Isak), so unless the relationship has totally gone down the shitter such that we expect a bag of 110 million pounds in cash upfront is better than Isak, I can see us issuing a hands-off on the night we play Liverpool. Club statement from a few days back said "We do not foresee those conditions being met". I daresay that's even less likely to happen now. So unless the club wants to look like utter chumps in letting Liverpool get even more strikers while we have zero....

My other post about stats and Wissa+JSL. TLDR: Give them chances, and they'll put them in the net.
-
I mean, we got all dizzy over a "Tier 0 local journo" claiming that we were in for Bilal Al-Khanouss, and he had a release clause and all. And now, with this "release clause" having long expired, Al-Khanouss is still at Leicester and linked with....Crystal Palace.
-
Bumping up a post i put up the other day. JSL + Wissa would be a top pairing.
-
Sorloth is the "Haaland-lite" Norwegian, tbf. Also available it seems.
-
Pio Esposito doesn't seem like an Eddieball player. He's like Hojlund at Atalanta, or Evan Ferguson at Brighton. An old-school heavyset centre-forward. Be useful for Fulham if they sell us Muniz.
-
Eh perfect timing. Retire Pope, sign Trafford next season.
-
When we're being gazumped for Yoane Wissa, Alvarez would be pretty far from realistic. IMHO.
-
He OnLy wAnTs BaYeRN and he will wait for next season to join them.
-
TBF, I'd absolutely take Chris Wood.
-
I would hope the club won't be so desperate as to bid 70 mil for someone who cost Wolves just 23 mil, and who Wolves literally just signed a month ago *70 mil an estimate for me because that's what I'd ask for, if I were Wolves.
-
One last throw of the dice I feel - a formal transfer request, and a 125 mil bid from Liverpool. Tomorrow or Friday just to disrupt our game prep. If that's shut down, then it's game over for him this window. But if Liverpool are clear about our conditions, the most critical being that we find a replacement of equal calibre first - then they know not to bother. Here's hoping.
-
You know what? Let's give him a new, bumper contract.
