Absolutely - it serves zero purpose other than to refer to a past which has long since been expunged. Guessing that the handful of fans who tried to carry on following them post move sharp got sick and moved on to the phoenix club, so the dons reference is crass and pointless. Apart from the rebirth of Wimbledon FC, The only good thing to come from the whole debacle is that it'll never happen again.

As a town, I don't have any issue with Milton Keynes - I've stayed there several times and it's quirky and inoffensive. As for the football club though, it can get fucked. Given the audacity of what happened, I'm amazed that it still carries the Dons name in its title, what with the pre-move stuff being wiped from history.

Sorry this post isn't really much help, but I'd use proper organised football parking if possible. Street parking in Brum on a match day is supposed to be a bit of roulette, with cars having parts stripped from them being a big problem right now. Not sure if it's such a big problem round Villa Park, but it's recently been a massive problem around St Andrews. The one time I took my car to Villa Park I was immediately hassled by kids to mind it for cash. Can't remember if I paid or not but car was fine when I returned.
