Voted for the Castle Keep badge because I absolutely love it, but I fully agree with most that there is absolutely nothing wrong with our current badge, and there's no real reason to change it. Gordon McKeag got a lot of things wrong, but implementing the existing club crest is certainly something which he got right. Also, the fact that the mackems plagiarised it when they changed their badge soon after, and thought nobody would notice.

People keep going on about him getting Hull to the cup final as a massive achievement, but it was pretty much one of those lucky draw cup runs. Their most difficult game was the quarter final at home to Sunderland (who were PL at the time). They then faced a League One side in the semis. That cup run is probably the one thing which sets him apart from the likes of Warnock, but to herald it as a major achievement is massively overstretching things.

There are loads of pubs in Brighton itself, but it depends what you're looking for. If you just want cheap beer and to be with a big crowd of NUFC fans then there's a 'spoons between the train station and the sea front. If you're after something a bit quieter then there are loads of smaller craft beer places dotted about. They don't do the pub segregation thing down there so you should be welcome anywhere, and everyone is really friendly... Its a really good away day. If you do drink in Brighton though, make sure that you allow plenty of time to get to the ground. Think you get free rail travel to Amex with your match ticket but the trains get choka so don't leave it too late.
