Eddie being absolutely lovely in interview, asked what he did to improve Miggy and Eddie just says the player deserves the credit
-
Defensively excellent performance, stuttering going forward but kind of to be expected considering some of the personnel
-
He's on lol

I respect them being awful cunts, Lampard i expected to fail to fix their awful defense, they had become really easy to beat and while he has taken his time to do so they are really annoying to play against and if this season for them is about finishing safely in 14th this is the kind of football that will get you there. Hopefully we can get another, can't see them scoring more than 1.

While this high pressing is how we want to play, I actually think the sheer injury inducing intensity of it is sort of enforced. We don't have players suited for a controlling possession in a slow methodical fashion really, we are doing well with posession but it is by imposing ourselves. We really could do with players who can slow things down now and then, when we are ahead or whatever so we don't need to be pressing all the time. What happens though often is premier league clubs think this way, sign some classy passing player and they get completely bypassed and look a fool.

Defence excellent, not sure we were ever going to score though so as good as a result as were likely to get. Man U definitely look better than they have.

Not the worst result

Not sure I've ever seen someone that offside

I wonder if the cost of borrowing going up is going to have an effect on how much clubs are willing to spend, and this may put even more of a gulf between a lot of clubs and the really rich ones (like us, albeit we are severely restricted by ffp). It's terrible for the league, and I want to compete for the league on merit not on spunking all the money in the world at it, but alas nothing is going to get done to cut back on ludicrous spending.
-
Howe has been very good at keeping players who arent getting many games on side and involved behind the scenes, and he is no doubt getting more intense, useful and tactically aware training than he would be at a championship club most likely. I agree it's a shame he's not getting more competitive minutes, I imagine he will get a lot of time in the cups but I don't think it is detrimental for his development. Now not saying he is comparable talent but I remember how long it took for Guardiola to phase in Foden, even I from an England perspective was like why isn't he starting often he's clearly brilliant hah. That paid off.

I've never been to Copenhagen, is it worth a trip?

I see Wordle has gone downhill

Absolutely. If they came through with a suggestion for financial fair play that cut back on the ludicrous over spending, allowed clubs with poorer resources to better compete I am all for it. But rather than blaming how miserably the game has been governed it's just man city and our fault.

Why aim so low probably have his own show on GBNews in a month or two whinging about 'cancel culture'

If he said all this money is bad for the league I would absolutely agree with him, it's just the blatant getting his excuses in about it and pretending he hasn't spent a lot
-
In the comments there was more racist abuse visible on his social media. What is wrong with people?
-
Fucking moron. Shocking how much racism seems to be regular thing again.

Sigh. The thing is broadly I agree, financial disparity between clubs leads to uneven competition. It is bad. I would like in an ideal world to be competing to win league etc based on merit of performance etc. We are a long way off that now, we have a decade of neglect to invest before we are on a similar level but he is right assuming no change of circumstances ultimately there isn't a financial ceiling. It's absolutely not fair. The league is best competitive and I hope we have success without having substantially outspent rivals. I have confidence that we will be able to as the model is to spend sensibly etc anyway. But it is absolutely unbearable to hear a manager who has spent £75m on a defender (money well spent of course) and loads and loads of money pretend to be a fucking under funded underdog. Absolutely pathetic. If Brighton came out with teh same stuff genuinely they have invested super sensibly and competing they absolutely should be rewarded with being competitive with the best. Absolutely pathetic to hear from Klopp. Pathetic pity me crap. He's achieved a lot, doesn't need to pretend he has done so as some moral parsimonious monk. And for the record if Eddie came out with anything self pitying about not having investment, he can fuck off with it. But he won't because he is doing best he can with what he has been given. He is in a position where he will not have the excuse of lack of investment, but I suspect he will not resort to that. Fuck off klopp.
