best hope is some minor reforms to keep clubs in check. We'll never get germany model (and even that is pretty flawed) but government can maybe legislate some more fan power (albeit suspect will remain ignored). Best we can hope for is premier league approves our takeover out of spite to the 6.

I doubt there will be any major punishment, they will still swing fairly hefty clout. The owners trying to sell up will struggle. This may be a reflection of the costs of players etc now getting beyond sustainable. Perez etc all thought lets keep building bigger and bigger leagues and stuff so more and more money comes then we never need to worry about spending over £50m on goalkeepers and stadiums and cheese rooms. Maybe just spend what you can afford guys? You don't have to buy Haaland, and if every one of you agrees then you can for 1/10th the price.

BACK TO NORMAL NOTHING ABHORRENT HAPPENED
-
In fairness to the players they only learned about it on Sunday night, and anyway they're employees of the club not spokespeople for the fans.

In fairness to City Player Laporte

Honestly, I kinda think the only way to stop them exerting enough power to avoid any kind of punishment is let them bugger off into their own shitty league and let the rest of us get on with it. Yes the league will lose a lot of money and investment, spoiler alert, all the money has mainly just caused fans to be milked more and told endlessly how every player is the best in the world. I fear we are back to a status quo shortly.

Quite clearly neither had the big six

Seeing your profile pic made me think this whole thing has been invented by Colin Robinson

what is his term, legacy fans? that means actually living breathing one, the new future fans the esl wants are cloned in vats to work in the cryptocurrency mines and have esl pumped right into their brains for 200% of their paychecks

It hardly encourages to rest to leave too if the first words are you're still banned lolol. Albeit i completely agree things cant go back to way things were before. How about since they said this was to benefit all of football we demand huge solidatiry payments from them al down the league for next 10 years to benefit all the struggling clubs who arent struggling cos they spunk billions on shit players every year

Look they saw Uefa were planning to annouce their terrible champions league reforms, Perez bought them all a lot of expensive wine and they had one hell of a weekend and when they awoke from their hangovers they had completely fucked everything

(I suspect premier league will humilatingly offer them loads too)
-
I still doubt very much it'll happen, the 6 english clubs will probably just wanting to bully premier league into giving them a huge proportion of the broadcasting revenue
-
I'm not convinced it isn't just a bluff aimed at getting a better negotiating position. The 6 english teams probably want to threaten it so they get to renogiate the terms of the premier league so they get a lot more of teh broadcasting money than the other teams. Honestly the concept of 'the big six' might be the most hateful part. Spurs? Really?

I really hope they all do fuck off mind.

What gets me about this is, have they actually investigated if anyone actually wants this?

Somewhat reassuring to see that the west ham of old are back

I don't actually have a huge problem with VAR being used for that, for consistency I just think it is generally being over used. I don't think it's VAR's fault either that the ref couldn't see that was accidental conduct that didn't impede Son who was clearly trying to buy it. It feels like refs feel like there are hundreds of fouls going on at all times and so when VAR comes along they are always obligated to give them. However I feel if VAR is there for anything it is to check game changing moments like fouls that might be missed. If the ref didn't see it checking it feels within the spirit. How the VAR ref didn't take one look at it and tell the ref on pitch 'nothing in it' and that be the end of it I will never know. VAR was wanted because of refs missing things or getting it glaringly wrong, not because every minor coming together needed 5 minutes of contemplation.

Well not every foul is a yellow card but, it's just a nothing contact. Loads heavier bits of contact will get no foul all game every game

Appalling decision. Utter nothing.

Some pundits seem to think that coaches should be judged purely by their last game. Bruce has made as worse as a football team and has got worse and worse the longer he is there. Completely independent of results we are just getting worse.
