  1. Burnley got such an easy ride no more so than Vincent Kompany who screamed "look at my football, prospective employers, I care not what happens to this team though". Refusing to change how they defended even a little because of principles? Pep, Klopp, Ancelotti etc etc all adapt plan if needed. All that achieved was ensuring they got relegated solely so a football chairman can say "he plays good football". I'd be fuming as a Burnley fan. I'm not saying he had to go route 1, but to refuse even to play a little deeper was ridiculous.

    Next season

Crystal Palace could have a good season but more likely they will make big bucks selling Eze, Wharton or Elise this summer and replace with someone who will take a season or two to bed in, then one of the other star players will get a season ending injury and they will end up comfortable mid table. They have no ambitions beyond staying in the league.
  3. They're clearly valued for their off the pitch contribution to the team guess basically as coaching staff they can run out on pitch in fixtures when stretched, I will judge the ambition on the rest of the window
  4. bit disappointed to finish below todd boehly's travelling circus but decent considering
  5. De Zerbi not interested? Considering he left Brighton apparently because he soured things talking publicly about being a bit unhappy and wanting a bigger job, I mean surely its a great chance to go win stuff...
  6. not done enough to replace pep imo, one outstanding season with brighton but this one hasn't been so great (albeit plenty of circumstances). Bayern seems a good shout for a step up with a chance to win things. If Pep announces he's off tomorrow will be surprised, but I do think he's got to be near the end or the cycle
  7. He'd be an absolute perfect replacement for Gundogan at City whom I think has been missed there, was going to say realy badly missed but not like they've been doing badly... Really hope he stays
  8. we get what we deserve for inconsistency through the season tbh
  9. Sigh terrible goal to concede should have scored ourselves though so can't complain. We have been good in periods then we just can't find a player. Meh.
  10. what a ball, what a stupid challenge
  11. i swear every time spurs attack and are one play away from a shot their attacker thinks hmm what is the easiest thing to defend i can do right now? and does that
  12. Its why as critical as i am of saudi arabia, it is blood money i guess, but the region has so underinvested in, and goddamn it takes this for anything to happen, but I can't sit and say yes all those jobs for people in the city i love, all that money i'd give that up for a clear conscience, while i drive a petrol powered car and shop on amazon. It's far from perfect, as is the world, but this is still good news
  13. i generally hate the super modern stadiums, all shine no soul. I am not against against new stadium by all means, I just dont want to rush headlong into something without consideration of what may be lost by moving it somewhere else primarily
  14. I mean whisper it but local government has some links to national government and this run by some right cunt too... (ok yeah false equivalence I know)
  15. Overselling it somewhat somehow
  16. Absolutely desperate to play for any other team than us I see!
  17. Maybe the clearest foul ever seen
  18. I hope Arsenal pay the release clause, Bruno drives down to arsenal, gets in the room to sign the contract then kicks Arteta in the balls shouts FUCK THAT, kidnaps Saka in boot of his car and drives back up to be anointed king of the North
  19. They're desperate for a result, we're poor away...but sometimes they are down there for a reason and if their defense is still rubbish we should put several past them
  20. I am a bit disappointed in Ashworth in signing up to a long term project and jumping ship at first opportunity, but I guess things weren't going that smoothly behind the scenes, if its not working probably good he moves on and we find someone else. Man U clearly coming in assuming that any other club would happily give up their assets to them on the cheap, absolutely obnoxiously entitled, just like expecting the government to pay for a new ground for them because of course the whole country would love to subsidize man u sigh. Yes our price was high, but doesn't sound like they've even tried to come in with a reasonable offer in the middle.
  21. Vini will be sold, Mbappe's shirt sales will eclipse all considerations. Mbappe is good like, but Vinicius is also but hey ho
  22. Disagree, still has value but his injury record isn't going to get any better. It would be lovely to have him too but we just don't have the room in the financial constraints to afford really having Wilson on the bench as useful as would be. I would sell and sign a prospect.
