Not sure much can be done about that

Be amazed if we keep them out tbh

How did they not score
-
He's reminding me a little of in form Muller in that he's scoring absolute bucketload of goals without it being clear exactly how. Obviously his finishing is great, but he's not just a poacher hanging near the goal, his movement is great but he's hardly lightning fast or anything, his technique is obviously great but he's hardly otherworldly graceful. His numbers and his consistency however now mean he has to be considered one of the elite players. Kinda hope he does win the ballon d'or or something. Also he is 24 years old still. 24!

john stone's tattoos are awful

Pretty poor showing

Think we were too exposed particularly on the left most the half, but finished strongly. Giving them too many opportunities

Just bumped almost literally into joey Barton outside a The National gig in Manchester

Oh man lawrenson is looking haggard these days
-
Love how he's not saying 'oooh want to get a draw away from home' he's straight out wants 3 points from it. Pardew would be complaining about not competing with the sovereign state of Brighton

We are so mentally stronger than we have been in ages I don't think we'll have a terrible run all season. We used to just collapse and then underperform for months on end. Not to say we won't have a poor run but Rafa will get us out of it.

(RE Klopp) I sometimes think that managers basically need a lot going for them beyond their control to win every game near enough to win a title. When managers are slightly off that pace when they are expected to win titles they get criticised as being not that good, but there are so many other factors and the margins so fine. He's a very good manager imo, with a bit of a blind spot for defending, but could Liverpool do better? Possibly, but who knows other manager may not get any more out the squad either? He does have a proven record, much more helpful than sacking him would probably be bringing in a superior defensive coach (and buying a defender) but most managers are such control freaks that they probably hate that.

Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)

Ignoring your eyes is mad, ignoring stats is mad, clearly should be done in tandem. Stats also can be illuminating taken over a long succession of games in a way just watching can be deceptive. It would be interesting to see how someone who saw a broad range of stats on players over a succession of games they haven't watched and compare their player ratings to someone who has watched the game but imo you do need to first and foremost watch the game, and dismissing criticism from that often highlights a flaw in the stats. On the other hand dismissing stats as not a hugely important method of analysing what is working in a team and what isn't is foolish. -
Basically he did some racist banter with some england players, and one of the players complained, now at this point it could probably all have been walked back with some apologies and some promise to do a racial sensitivity course or something, but then the FA contrived to cover it up, make everyone involved sign NDAs or else and then have the complaining players sidelined. Then basically it comes out anyway, it turns out the FAs investigation was, shock, totally inadequate, a bunch of MPs who have been saying (rightly) the FA is a shambles threaten to investigate themselves so now the FA have remembered they have a report he shagged some of the players at his old club so fired him as if this was new information to them in a desperate bid to look decisive. Basically the FA has seen the Brexit department and thought HOW DARE THEY TRY AND OUT SHAMBLES US

But not a 'powerhouse'?
-
As if people think Neymar will be punished for it (if true) Cavani will prolly be sent to the u21s and sold in January, far more likely.
-
What an embarrassment. Pathetic.
-
Mendy got called a powerhouse
-
They have one of those awkwardly assembled squad's that usually comes from multiple managers and multiple directors of football in a short space of time and an unhealthy fondness for transfer deadline day, like QPR's last stint in the premier league, West Ham, West Brom or Fulham. Somehow, possibly impressively, Mark Hughes has managed this all on his own.

It's powerhouse that is definitely reserved for black players, powerful does include some white players, didn't you get the memo?
-
He's alright, has a good stop in him, also doesn't flap at crosses, just has a mistake in him now and then and doesn't get down quick enough hence the Shakiri goal.
-
We can be better away, think we'll grind out a boring 1-0 victory
-
They'll still be mid table soon enough imo, tough start and they are a better team than they've shown, just desperately need a goal scorer though.
