Everton are absolute pap, man us literal plan is give it to garnacho and hope he wins a pen and it's actually working really well
-
In fairness haven't Leicester just fallen apart in recent weeks, they were dominant but suddenly lost a bunch in a row so hardly indicative of why they are top

I dunno about Paqueta, I imagine we'll shop in europe for the next big thing like with did with bruno with a chunk of his money and maybe buy an experienced defensive mid from a premier league team as a backup. Paqueta will cost more than Bruno did and isn't as good, and his wages will be a fair amount. I think we'll still be going for value buys like Bruno was for FFP maximisation we can eventually sell on.
-
If Bruno is off (please don't let it be so) still need a really high quality CM in to replace as much as Tonali will be here.

I don't know, i think this season has really hurt his managerial credentials, it's not just their defense is rubbish, it has been rubbish all season and they don't seem to have improved. They are absolute kings of 'played well, still lost'. They walked the championship and it was always going to be difficult, but for a team that seemed a level above there to now seem to be giving a significantly worse account of themselves as Luton really need to look at themselves. you can want to play the right way all you want, and I think even finishing bottom 3 would ultimately be fine but doing so so meekly feels underwhelming.

i think generally while Villa compress play they are fairly happy for brighton to pass around the back and even play effectively on the counter (see last seaosn when Villa were the only side to proper batter us doing that) and are direct, it's a good counter to Brighton's style of play. Brighton seem really off it this season anyway so think Villa will be fine with that.

He's great, though succession planning is needed. Exciting young rcb in summer please
-
I had Wolves to go down so he's proved me wrong there, did well with Bournemouth last season and then is doing a fine job with wolves, looks set to be the next big steady midtable premier league manager to fill the Moyes or Roy role for a few years.
-
Maybe but i think Foden looks very good on compilations etc (and he is very good i may add) but think saka quietly gets on with it with greater end product.
-
I agree he is being overplayed and leaned on for so young, but I dunno, foden is brilliant but Saka is way more creative as well as just as good at goals, works hard too. Feels he plays so much it's taken for granted tbh.

I mean getting too upset about the ethics of Staverley feels a bit odd considering our majority shareholder's general activities

Suppose would have to play them at some point but ffs would have been nice to get to wembley

Eddie Howe - Admitted to Hospital; To miss Man United (H)
Tiresias replied to InspectorCoarse's topic in Football
I think genuinely Joelinton was the most important player to Howeball, he protected defence, won the ball back, carried upfield protected dan burn and was everywhere. We can talk tactics all we like etc just don't think we can play close to the same without him unfortunately. -
It seems like some people think that all our owners bought us purely out of pure benevolence and love of the fans. This is obviously not the case, chancer is well harsh mind, but yes using club money to bail out on a loan she is disuputing isn't good, however fairly sure that's why she bought into the club knowing the Saudi investment would fairly quickly rocket the value of her shares and will make a tidy profit on it. That's normal. There is no way of knowing the rights wrongs of the situation on teh loan she could be entirely in the right or in a mess. No doubt money will get moved around and it won't impact us much. But she's here to make money off us and people act surprised?
-
I'm sure a just promoted team would be excited. I don't think there's much good to be had from loaning to a weaker league than the one he's now played a lot in
-
He's clearly not at standard yet way too much is asked if him this year unavoidably. Loan out next season to premier league club wouldn't be the worst even though i hate loans to same league lol
-
rubbish own goal, ffs oh well
-
Please don't cos can totally see it
-
I mean Ben Arfa couldn't win, i remember one game he was on bench at start we conceded a bunch, brought on ben arfa who nearly turned the match around for us and then pardew blamed ben arfa who wasnt on the pitch when we conceded for the result in the post match
-
Imagine if Livramento is at fault for a lot of goals
-
Saka is really extremely good, should be starting. Foden is very good but not as consistent.
-
Of course we're going to compromise, i don't know why anyone is shocked that we started high in a negotiation and their opening was no chance mate, it's basic haggling!
-
I read teh transcript on the athletic and the journos ask him about 3 times if he is sure he wants them to print that and give him a chance to walk back...I dunno probably give benefit of the doubt he hasn't looked at it at all yet but clearly answer should be "I stand by the clubs prior stance on this issue nothing has changed"

Also on Man U, yeah a few decent transfer windows with clear direction and not spunking everything on an overhyped player and they'll be fine. I am not convinced by Ten Hag though. There seems a real lack of clear headed thinking there, hence Martial still being there for some reason
