Don't want to see that poor guy
-
They hate tielemans lol. Feels like he;s their Wijnaldum, he may well be good for Villa (and i don't think emery will tolerate shit performances) but the reputation seems to exceed what he actually did, he did seem to check out for them for quite some time.

The second isak game did kill it. They were definitely in it at 2-1 still, 3-1 is tough to come back from. Even that Cash chance he should have scored gets it to 3-2 they would have pressed as they did with the same result, which is why I disagree with their fans saying that was a turning point. But if it stays 2-1 our team does get caught in that 'stick or twist' dilemma and we may have dropped deeper. I remember getting nervous at 3-1 then thought, hang on how many games end 3-4 ffs. It's touch, you drop off 3-1 down from their perspective looks like surrender even if ultimately the right call for goal difference. I think what you have to do is have a calm head in the team and just try and get possession, see if we drop off thinking game is done and jump on any mistakes. With the game still frantic the high line just seemed foolish.

I worry I qualify because I still think top 4 will be tough and will take a while before we belong there season on season, but actually i am really looking forward to the season regardless, hopefully do well in cups, hopefully get out of champions league group (will be hard), missing top 4 will oddly still be progress for me as we build up squad but i dread a little all the takes, there will definitely be people calling for Howe's head if we don't get there lol. But I wouldn't call myself anything other than optimistic lol.

I wonder if Eddie really ever thought he'd get to coach players like this after he left Bournemouth. I know he purposefully didn't rush into another job but the league has a short memory and equally a lot of the jobs that do open up are right double edged swords. Most newly rich clubs would have overlooked him a bit in search for bigger brand managers, and we nearly did going for Emery. Despite today Emery is class but thank god we went with Howe, and now he gets to watch a player in teh champions league and ask the club to buy them and the club does.

yeah definitely.

He was alright, someone called him 1 out of 10 which was ludicrous (as he is perfectly capable of a rash red card now and then lol). He will get there, and to be honest his infectious personality probably counts for more than you think on the pitch. His celebrating all the goals...
-
Aye, quite natural though new league and all that, unless you're Tonali lol
-
Drop Bruno, move gordon central with licence to roam... I kid, a little, but we fucking have options now
-
He also seems like such a normal guy too lol
-
He is such a natural finisher. Full season fit he should score loads and loads
-
He's great. I've listened to his podcasts too and he has talked about being pissed off not getting picked but he's going to still get loads of goals for us. His attitude is perfect. (He spoke on podcast on if he's confronted manager on getting news not starting and he said he learned not to do that, just accept news gracefully then have that conversation with the manager later in the week rather than get angry) He wants to prove he's the best by scoring, now I think Isak is better but that is no slight on him. So many teams don't have one good striker, we have two really high quality ones. He is going to get plenty, he is going to get plenty of love, I am sure he is going to start plenty of games too. I remember when we signed him I was concerned about injury but thought was decent signing, but I don't think I appreciated how good a finisher he was, I kinda thought he was ok and could do occaisional spectacular ones, but I generally trust him in any 1v1 situation.
-
I knew his speciality was 1-2s but what he is good at is getting nice short pass off while accelerating to full pace in one seamless movement without seemingly making any passing motion with his feet
-
Not having this guy being on page 2 not getting any credit. thought he was really really good too today.
-
That was his only yellow, i think there was confusing cos Bruno's yellow looked like it was for him
-
Not every team will push high against us but by god if they do this guy looks lethal
-
Statement win. Look lethal going forward. Bring on Man City. (I still expect us to lose that mind lol) Ratings Pope - 7 (only low cos one shakey corner clearance) Trippier - 7 His deliveries seemed off today Schar - 9 Imperious I thought Botman 8 Nearly let a goal in falling on his arse, but assist! Burn - 6 Diaby had his number i thought Tonali - 9 Thought he may take time to settle, he looks absolutely class. Bruno - 5 Poor game by his standards Joelinton - 9 Doing the 'i am everywhere doing everything' and even had some nice short technicall passing thing Gordon - 9 Looked great, lovely assist, caused them problems Isak - 9 He's a proper finisher, so calm, should have had a hat trick Almiron - 8 Every blade of grass as ever. Bad cross notwithstanding Subs Wilson - 8 Unfortunate to be second choice Barnes - 9 looked very very dangerous Others not on long enough to earn score
-
(I kid)
-
I Hope Brummie's ok
-
BARNES GET IN
-
Friendship ended with Bruno, tonali new best friend
-
Sub Wilson off for that lol
-
Get longstaff on for bruno soon imo
-
so lucky not to concede there...
-
He was nowhere near goal with defenders coming back don't think it was a red myself tbh
