Tough to go for their throats when we haven't a good striker in the team. Still disappointingly negative. Pardew seems to panic too easily.

Our campaign either stalls now, or we kick on. Crunch time for Pardew, not that I'm calling for his head should we have a longer dip, but next series of fixtures should tell us a lot.

we have 4-3-3 in us just not with Best playing so wide and Shola at the top. Loven is nowhere near as bad as some make out. He's nowhere near good enough but he's better than Shola and when I last saw him on wing he had some good link up play and didn't look lost. Still didn't do much though.

Lovenkrands looked reasonably competant as a winger so dunno why he wasn't given nod for that position if we're desperate, but Best needs to be up front obviously.

Obertan against a tiring Brighton at end would have been fine by me, give it a go, wouldn't have expected much but meh. Lovenkrands should easily be ahead of Shola in the pecking order.

Seems to have slotted into the Barton role in the squad Needs to cool it at times. Or just take it out on Shola.

I want to keep him on the right for now, maybe later he can move centrally, think he could do that role happily in french league but runs into defenders too much. Proved he can play wide, even with one bad performance, it's hard to condemn individuals too much when the whole team played badly.

Wenger is sticking around to stubbornly retire only after Ferguson has. He is stubborn enough too as well.

We seem to do well scouting and signing, but keeping up the quality of signings like Tiote, Ba and Cabaye (hopefully Cisse) is going to be difficult.

He was there to beat Barca and can't. I don't think it's especially an inditement, it may well be impossible without that defence he had at Inter, and Barca could well decline, there's already evidence of that since it looks like Real may win the league, but they won't win the champions league without beating Barca. I think the biggest disappointment was that they seemed to be so defensive after they seemed to be catching up with Barca when playing more positively.

Lee Dixon complaining about Bale playing centrally then not commenting on that being where he was when he scored. Sort of agree, such a dangerous wide player but he drags defenders all over the place and their fluidity is making their football as attractive as it is.

This. Can understand wanting to bully a weak defence with 2 big men, but it should't be a default as it limits us in the midfield.
