  1. Hey Ben Arfa, we just signed De Jong No, the other one!
  2. Glad he's being given a chance and didn't sound like he fluffed it much.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

I'd be p*ssed at him for trying that had we not gone on to win, now it's oddly endearing

    LOL at Lolro

Just predicted we'll lose to Blackburn sat next to Steven Taylor, who just slowly shook his head
  7. he's learned his lesson clotheswise on football focus, but he's sat next to lolro and hasn't taken the chance to clobber him!
  8. Wow. What a horrid rumour, obviously glad it's not true, but like anyone believed Tiote could be hurt by flimsy cars. Lowered into molten metal maybe!
  9. Fletcher is a decent defensive midfielder, but not a world beater. Carrick is workmanlike, Anderson my man U mate rates but don't quite see it and Cleverley is unproven. Giggs is quality but old. remember I watched the champions league final oddly enough with some chinese kids who were exchange students or something heh, they were really confident because man u is the best club in the world, i told them they were going to lose because their midfield wasn't good enough... Sneijder talk was premature, he's not been so good since Mourinho left, and plays a different role to anything Ferguson likes players to play. A huge bid in for Goetze or someone though would have been sensible. I think on their day Man U are a very very good team, but when you're expecting to win the league against City, and compete for Champions League, and probably win a cup at least on the side, their team comes up severely wanting. They have striking talent, they've been unfortunate at the back (though probably could do with a few more players) but their midfield has been winging it for a while. I don't think this is because they haven't noticed, I think it's because they have limited funds, and midfielders they need were probably priced beyond them, why they then spent the money they did on the players they did...no idea.
  10. Not quite the same thing but I heard someone shouting at our own team "fucking french wankers" in the Wigan game, Cabaye I'd like to think scored just to show them heh -_-
  11. I'd be very happy to get Hoilet. Young nimble and creative.

    Ryan Taylor

Obertan should clearly be brought on as a sub for last 15 minutes (if he is to be used at all), his extra pace against a tired right back would be worthwhile. His pace is good earlier in pitch but isn't good enough to take advantage. The extra comparative pace as impact sub may make up for this. I have seen him be decent, but a long long long way from consistent. As for Raylor, wouldn't object to him starting ahead of Obertan on right, not done brilliant against Man U but at least he wouldn't tease me with a promising run so much XD
  13. yeah but net spend is through the floor. Lower than 'setting the transfer window alight' sunderland iirc. Think where they's spent it has been dubious in the extreme though, can only think that they have a lot of faith in their young midfielders that's taking longer to pay off than it should. Also Fergie likes creativity on the wings and more box to box players in middle so maybe he's just let it slide because of that, but the quality there is poor.
  14. you are right. in my defence I am not that sober
  15. If that's not an indication (was previously something stupid as ronaldo pointed out) of how little money they ferguson has available to bring in a good midfielder I don't know what is
  16. the way you know Ba is out the country is your prayers have stopped being answered
  17. Pardew seemed to think not wednesday, so dunno. I'd imagine they'd be making song and dance about if they were since the assumption was otherwise
  18. and so it begins... having said that innocent till proven guilty, shouldn't jump too soon to conclusions
  19. Raphael Honigstein getting it right on twitter methinks
  20. I doubt they'd have it so prominent if it wasn't well sourced, but if it's true they obviously didn't plan on revealing it tomorrow. Could be a big mistake by independent, could well be true, not like denials mean anything. On the other hand it could well be a very well sourced and reasonable article that United are considering selling him next summer, and the sub-editor has turned it into a massive story with a misleading headline. In fact that seems quite likely.
  21. An individual is very slightly better then, other reports seem to corroborate 1 person, but also that it went on and stewarts did little. What a w*****
