I'm just surprised you have more than 11 players to pick from
-
Hah my token Liverpool supporting mate is considering just spending all his time supporting a lower league club and ignoring liverpool till Dagliesh is sacked or dies, whichever first.
-
Because realistically we're getting nothing

It's 50/50 for me
-
He's a good option for some pace down the wings and he's full of potential but it's not a big blow to the first team. I just hope it isn't a blow to his progress if he's out for a while.

I never know what Everton are going to do, half the time I see them they're pretty hapless, the other half ruthless. Too many injured players and too many old ones with no legs left and not enough strikers. Would write them off against Spurs who have looked best I've seen them this season, but still think Everton might defend doggedly then win a pen in the 80th minute and nick it. As my Everton mate put it (tongue in cheek) 'Baines is our top scorer, we're playing total football!'
-
That's completely fair, but sorting out loans then wouldn't go close to sorting out the problems. Fair play should help but overall youth structures everywhere need to be overhauled and clubs encouraged, or even just forced to rely much more on homegrown talent. (the thing making the PL clubs be able to buy players from lower leagues was a really rubbish attempt that will just weaken the league) On Henry, appreciate he's on an ego trip, but can ignore that. Wonder if its his ego that kept him trying to play the striker role, with his legs gone most thought he'd drop back into midfield as his passing and vision is pretty good.

Everton mate reckons he always starts well then just loses interest after a bit
-
Agree he's not ready for the first team (starting anyway) yet, but would have liked him to have been uninterrupted in the reserves. Next season should be out on loan, half season or season long to someone in championship imo.
-
Having said that Sturridge and Wilshere to Bolton etc I don't have much complaint over, see why loaning out a huge player to someone in league is bit of doping the league, think maybe it should be an age cap for loaning in the league. Over 21s or something should be a no no, under 21s fine imo
-
I know he's hardly demonstrated it for a long period of time, not saying he's an all time great or anything (yet I suppose) but I don't think you could argue he's definately up with Van Persie and Aguero as best striker in premier league, don't think it's that much of a reach to say this season he's among the best. Bet I know the answer should you ask most managers if they would have signed him at start of season if they'd known.

Woo didn;t realise it was man city liverpool on bbc tonight somehow. It's odd how easy it is to forgive man city for being rich bastards when they've been involved in some right corking games this season. Hopefully they'll stuff racistpool again, (not long since last time they met is it?)
-
Sign him up and loan him out, would be gutted for the lad to have not made it with this opportunity. Don't care if he never makes it to our first team, worth the punt. Would hate it for him though if we did sign him and he barely got any game time with anyone, isn't there some rule that stops you loaning out a player as soon as you buy them in england?
-
If there's interest I suspect it's from Jonas' dropping off, club probably pondering about bringing in someone to compete for that position. personally I'd love a 4-2-3-1 with cabaye hoilett and ben arfa all sitting behind ba. plenty of goals there. Doubt it though, Hoilett is much like Ben Arfa in that will do little off the ball work, and while think we can have one player in the team like that, having two would be completely contrary to what we're trying to do.
-
Go Everton! Never wanted a stray ball to smack a manager in the face by 'accident' as I do now with 'arry. Funny how football brings out the worst in me sometimes
-
sometimes you have to pay the extra £2m to get someone over the line though. No idea if we're in a strong bargaining position really though, as they can probably afford to keep him on the books even if he gets no game time. Suspicious this is a 'at least we tried' maneuver by the club with no intention of actually succeeding
-
Hopefully this time they've learnt and asked that any "offers you can't refuse" be given in with time to buy someone else. Not that we would have time actually if that happened today... Ba can't be replaced, there aren't many strikers in the world as good as him.

I've seen Simpson be a 7/10 player once or twice, mostly a 5 or 6 out of ten. I'm deeply uncomfortable wit selling without a player already in the door, especially as solid full-backs seem a bit of a rare thing
-
he did put in white text he's not that obsessed and got jumped on by the next posters.
-
Oh god that's the he's getting undressed and about to jump in bed with me look I wouldn't say no

We haven't enough cover, and still think as much as he irritates me, he's not that bad a full back. So I would be disappointed, though not paniced, over losing him. I don't want players to be happy on the bench so that's only natural, and wouldn't blame him if he left, but if he goes I'd prefer a dedicated left back (Santon over to right, though not too bothered if we get a right back and Santon stays on left) and then a centre back if we get one who can play as a full back in emergencies.
