Would agree.
-
Nowhere near as predictable as an old fashioned natural winger tbh.
-
Wew testy Didn't know giving my opinion would garner such a reaction.
-
In general strikers in Spain are not the shining example of the league either. I'd suspect Rafa will be looking at midfielders from there rather than strikers.
-
If we sign him i hope we sign another striker, as a replacement for Murphy in the squad it would be ok i suppose but as main CF signing? nah.
-
Yeah but why that prevent wild theories based on nothing ?!
-
Don't rate him, reckon Stoke will underperform as they always do.
-
Good for him, he should have never left.
-
Or it could be the difference between signing or not signing a new centre forward. I highly, highly doubt that. You doubt that it could be? Howay man, it's obvious what I'm saying, it's not as simple as saying 'we're getting 6m for this player therefore we're spending it on this other player'. If it goes in the pot of money that Rafa can spend, the pot gets bigger. Aye but we don't need to sell promising youngsters to fund moves for a striker We have more than enough for that already. Can't believe you are even bringing that up tbh

It's mental now, but if he even turns out to be even decent it's fuck all.
-
Would be if he scored more goals, doesn't score anywhere near enough to be great imo. Think he's overrated personally, but we'll see.
-
Forgot about Guardiola's penchant for absolutely mental formations. Still think this transfer is absolute insanity mind.
-
If I was him I'd back myself that I'm better than Walker tbh, I mean I don't think he is but if I was a footballer coming from Real Madrid that's how I'd be thinking.
-
I mean I understand wanting two RBs considering how many they got rid of but spending 80m on them is f***ing moronic. They are absolutely mental.
-
Is his brother actually good? I don't think we should sign him just because tbh.
-
Wouldn't be surprised if he's not even here.
-
Because Krul was good once doesn't mean he is anymore, he was starting to perform worse and worse before Rafa and Rafa has had him out on loan for a reason. Relying on players like Elliot is why we were relegated to begin with and Darlow is not "fine" as weak as we are at the positions you mentioned none of our goalkeepers are as good as Perez( who i personally don't rate that highly), Gayle and Shelvey. Buying a GK is absolutely a priority, i can pretty much guarantee that come January we'll be talking about how we need a keeper if we don't get one. Luckily Rafa has the foresight to see that before it becomes a problem.

drown Colback and it's a goodun.

Because you are paying it over a weekly basis over the basis of a contract, it eventually adds up to be more toxic than a high transfer fee would. Clubs like Sunderland are always financially fucked because of loads of big contracts despite not actually spending huge on transfer fees. Like i said though, i don't particularly care and i doubt signing Hernandez would effect the club long term too much but i just disagree with the notion of it's free so it doesn't matter much.
-
The £140k a week will have something to do with it. Maybe, but the low fee negates any need to worry about that imo. It would only work out as an extra 5 million on a 3 year contract. Disagree with that, a lot of clubs are in the shitter due to paying ridiculous wages. It has a much larger impact than high transfer fees IMO, not that i care personally but the general idea of low fee negating it i disagree with. Although there's another reason we won't be in for him, i don't think Rafa wants someone too similar to Gayle. This is based on absolutely fuck all, but i suspect the striker we buy will be of a different type than Gayle.
-
Of course he should, I doubt there is a Newcastle fan on this planet that thinks otherwise. Whether we get anywhere near what we want for him is another matter entirely.

Javier Manquillo (now playing for Celta de Vigo)

Not in 2017 he isn't which is what TCD was arguing and he's right, Zabaleta has been crap for a couple of years. What he was during his prime is completely irrelevant. -
Like selling sand in Sahara. GK: Krul, Darlow CB: Hanley LB: Lazaar (I'd keep him but w/e) CM: Saivet, Colback (He's f***ing staying isn't he?) ST: Riviere, Murphy I think we'll eventually sell Murphy, Hanley and maybe Darlow. The rest we'll probably be lucky to loan out
