  1. So I'll play along. Why would England centre back, playing for the Premiership champions, with probably his pick of any team in the league, come to us? No just no, he's not that good and really struggles to perform unless Terry is alongside him. I mean he's more than good enough for us but this idea that everyone in the league would want him is preposterous.
  2. Very average and that's being nice, but I would have said the same about Pelle

Be signed for us and made a commitment, Remy never did, he p*ssed us about and kept us hanging on. A commitment with a 7m release clause attached to it, some commitment that.

Perez maybe?, think he came here over some other clubs because he thought he'd have a better chance of playing rather than us paying him big wages. As if he didn't join us for the wages either compared to what he was on, plus he'll be gone as soon as he gets the chance. He'll have left Tenerife for two reasons, move to a bigger league and increased wages. Point is he had various choices to fulfill both those aims. I just doubt he chose us over the rest because we paid him far more than other teams were offering. Only other team i remember being mentioned was Porto and i wouldn't be surprised if we offered more considering PL wages in general is higher than even teams like Porto usually pay.

So did Ba and pretty much every other footballer that has joined us under Ashley, i really couldn't care less anymore tbh.

We have been through this a thousand times but i simply don't agree. Remy was better technically, better dribbler, better at creating his own chance and to be frank his pace really set him apart as it allowed the entire team to be more effective. You couldn't step up too high against him or he burn you something Ba never really had the ability to do. Which is why the team was in 5th place and 6 points from top at Christmas that year before Cabaye was sold and Remy got injured.
  8. Aye that Ali kid is really struggling.

Didn't someone post on here the other day that Leicester turned him down?
  10. Based on? Well for starters his ability to beat his man and get a cross in? So nothing then? because he's never proven he can do that. Besides he's not better than Sissoko and Perez who currently occupy the wide positions. He's left footed like. Even if he's been predominantly deployed on the right in the past, I don't see any reason why he can't get to the byline and cross a football on his stronger side. Bit too dismissive IMO to completely write this side of his game off when it hasn't been part of his remit for his previous clubs. Doesn't mean anything, there's been plenty of "wingers" or fullbacks who are just not comfortable at talking people on and crossing but rather cut inside and shoot. He's never shown anything to suggest he can do the things suggested and because he's left footed doesn't automatically make it the case.
  11. Honestly can't tell if you're serious.
  12. Based on? Well for starters his ability to beat his man and get a cross in? How many times have you actually seen him do that? Because my one and only memory of watching Townsend is him playing on the right hand side, cutting inside and blasting it high and/or wide.
  13. Not being funny but there is absolutely nothing about NUFC to be positive about How do you expect people to react?

  15. perez has scored 12 goals in the PL since he joined us less than 2 seasons ago, townsend has scored 5 his entire career at the top level so it sort of suggests that they're the same thing really Can't both play in the same team though? Perez up top or behind Mitrovic? I just find it weird that the first response of so many is to bemoan Perez losing his place. We desperately need points, whatever works. How can he play behind Mitrovic with both Shelvey and Wijnaldum in the team? face it at this point it's either/or.
  16. Considering Perez has been playing on the left and likely will for the considerable future it isn't.
  17. I don't care personally, i just find it funny how much we have wasted on crap who don't improve the team and will probably continue to do so.
  18. Perez and we will all complain on a weekly basis.
