Thing about it is he doesn't have to be spectacular either. Put pressure on the opposition, hold your position well and win the ball back. In theory if he can do that then he's definitely worth buying and Wijnaldum, Sissoko, Shelvey, Perez and Mitrovic should have more than enough to score goals. The real question is will he actually be playing the games to be able to do any of that and i doubt it.

He was arguably MOTM in his last three outings and if this form persists he could score 20 from midfield. How much better do you expect him to become? All I am saying is that he's playing better than I've ever seen him do and I don't expect him to be able to keep this high level up in all honesty. It could be a permanent thing of course, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tails off a bit, in which case he would still be a very good player for us. There's a reason why he has never been an undisputed fixture in our NT, as s*** as we are at the moment. Anyway, long may it last! Not in terms scoring goals but i think he could get better in terms involving himself and really dominating a game. Not that he's shite at it now but i think he can improve which is what i think Kanji was alluding to in terms of getting better.

He was, also i never watched him in Eredivisie ( Depay) but i saw him at the World Cup and he never struck me as some amazing talent then and doesn't now. He's not done himself any favors by putting on loads of muscle in his upper body though, looks genuinely incapable of exploding in tight spaces because of it unlike Wijnaldum who is really making a living of it so far. Also tbf to him Van Gaal isn't the best coach to be playing under if you are a forward.

Aye he was free but only reason it happened was because of Pardew and considering it's acted like a noose around our necks ever since it gave more reasons to hate Pardew. As if i didn't have a novel length sized list of them as is.

A lot of big transfers are mainly due to hype, don't really see him being hyped a lot yet and probably because we are not winning games. So i doubt anyone will offer anywhere near the amounts being talked about yet, not that i want them to anyway they can all fuck off tbh.

People always say that you need to give time for these players to learn the country and the league in general but when it comes down to it nobody actually wants to give them that time. He's played 17 games and not all of them have been starts much less 90 minute appearances. Yet have already decided what he is and what he always will be and none of that will ever change apparently.
