This fucking game
-
Unfortunately he's going to Chelsea, so they'll f*** it up naturally.
-
Put him in after he scored his second, because i was fearing a price jump.
-
I fucked up tbf

It isn't much different than Moses or Bojan playing for them, in terms of the level of player and the effect he'll likely have on the team. It is just that Shaqiri has been a big name for several years and Stoke are still looked down upon because of the Pulis era and being a relatively small club. The move stands out a bit. Shaqiri is twice the player Moses and Bojan have ever been tbf. I think Shaqiri is overrated, tbh. Both Moses and Bojan were very, very effective for Stoke last season when fit (this was the main issue, both struggled with injuries), I'd genuienly be surprised if Xherdan was that much better.I quite like Shaqiri, but his flashy style and big name can inflate opinions of him at times, tbh. He might be overrated but he's still comfortably better than Bojan and Moses lol.

I'd like to believe that but i'm not so sure. Me neither. McClaren has talked about that Aarons is young and needs protection (bit of a pet hate of mine), while suggesting Obertan is the best way to counter good attacking full backs. He'll have watched the pace of Obertan, and him doing good enough in traning to make McClaren think he can make a good footballer out of him. He won't. Tbf i understand it, Rodgers did the same with Sterling but i would play Perez not Obertan.

Disgusting amount of racism here, hasn't Kaka suffered enough?

I'd like to believe that but i'm not so sure.

Agree. Decent player, but some people are talking like he's a world star. Did well in Switzerland, nothing special in Bayern and nothing in Italy. Could well be a good player for Stoke, but that's far from given. Point is though we have Obertan starting for us If he's available for 12m i don't see why we shouldn't at least be interested.
-
Need a tackle tbf.
-
I understand to an extent, but fucking Stoke !
-
Doesn't mean we shouldn't buy one, Aarons is the only decent one we have. Obertan doesn't count.
-
For 12m, that's gonna make me pissed off every single time i see Obertan on the pitch tbh.
-
Yep, i was at the point where i wanted Pulis thank fuck that never happened.
-
Was definitely Cisse I remember getting pissed off at the time as well as initially i thought he over hit it.
-
Don't disagree at all, was just saying that we don't create nowhere near enough and Cisse is apart of that as is every other striker we play tbh. It's not gonna change with better players behind them either like some seem to think it will. As of right now none of them have been good in helping facilitate chances for themselves. Hopefully Mitrovic is, but that's a case of wait and see tbh.

Eh i feel like i'm talking to a brickwall, it's not just about running the channels. Cisse does plenty of that, it's about coming deep running in behind etc etc there's more to making runs then running i'm talking about general off the ball movement. It's piss poor, chance creation doesn't magically happen with the striker being static with his movement and it's a two folded thing both the center forward and the midfield take criticism for it. I get the feeling plenty of you think if we have enough creative players on the pitch he'll magically get chances and it doesn't work like that. Not being funny but he averaged 2 shots a game last year, which is absolutely pathetic and while the midfield take a huge bulk of the blame he didn't help himself. I have been extremely against the signing of Charlie Austin but he averaged 5 or 6 iirc which is what Cisse should be on as the main striker and the midfield isn't the only reason why.
-
The correct runs are the ones which end up in a goal scored. We had Luke De Jong on loan making lovely runs down the by line but I can't remember him scoring any goals or winning any matches. Come off it Look at any team and the striker's run is vital to what ever build up play they have, i'm not trying to criticize him but fact is if your striker isn't making the correct runs to open up space for the midfield you are likely not going to create much. It doesn't happen by magic, look at almost every successful team in the league without their striker making the correct runs it would all fall flat on it's face. Why do you think Chelsea look like shit without Costa?
-
If that's the case we have a problem luckily he isn't.
-
His link up play isn't the problem, it's the runs he makes as emphasized by the graphic posted yesterday. Creating chances is a two way street, it needs your striker to be making the correct runs to open up space for everyone and Cisse doesn't. Also doesn't help that two of the midfielders do fuck all with the ball going forward mind, but Cisse isn't completely blameless in the service he gets.

He loved typing that
