He's not, for a number "10" he didn't see the ball that much in fact without double checking I'd say he saw it the least of the 5 midfielders. As I have said before his skillset is vastly more suited to being a B2B CM, against Southampton his best moments were due to late runs into the box from deep. Which if anything would happen more often as a B2B CM because the runs would be harder to pick up.

I would he's miles better than Colback and Anita.

Concerns me that considering how McClaren wants to play his lack of ability on the ball could be an issue, as long as he's in position though he'll most likely defend crosses better than Haidara did.

They don't have to be consistent, just better than last year. They are miles better than most think they are anyway. Not a chance in hell of them finishing lower than second.

Actually been fairly impressed with him. Canny link up play with Kolarov at times. Should have scored like. His general play has been good, just awful finishing. Standard really.

At least this season, he's a nailed on starter until then.

Also Yaya wasn't even that bad last year, City were fucking awful without him as well. It was just because he scored like 20+ goals the year before and it wasn't complaining about birthday cakes.
