    Alan Pardew

If Ba stays and we buy all those players Edwards is on about i'll be delighted... but considering its Edwards and its also NUFC it's most likely a load of rubbish and Ba will leave and we will sign no one
  2. I would drop him personally.... Sanchez, Iniesta and Villa can all do a better job right now. He was injured a lot last season though. Personally I think he's quality and always without fail used to turn up on the big occasions for Barca. Sanchez hasn't really impressed me in all honesty since he's been at Barca. Aye but in last year or so for Barca his performances have not been up to level you expect and this season he's been poor. It doesn't mean i think he's bad all of a sudden he's a great player but at the moment i can think of a few forwards who deserve to start in front of him. He has 2 goals in 20 games this season and honestly it's not like he would offer anything outside of his goals that other players they have can't. Even Tello i think would be more effective at the moment.

  4. CR has to think about Falcao tbh.... has more goals than him now Goals doesn't mean all though tbh. It's the overall play and how you contribute to winning. A defender can still be the best player in the world and a defender won't score many goals. Messi contributes overall much more than any other player in the world, and along that he is the big reason to why his team is the best in the world, mentioning CRonaldo in the same bracket as him shouldn't be allowed. I know i wasn't being totally serious and i agree completely with you.

  6. It took Messi 4 more games to break his record none the less not a fair comparison
  7. That Iniesta back heel was lovely as well.
  8. Nah Atleti and Barca games are usually good and they actually turn up unlike against Real. I think i heard a stat like the game over last few years averages 5 goals a game or something Depends where it is though if it's at the Calderon it could get very interesting if it's at Camp Nou then it's probably going to be a Barca win. I seem to remember them getting some right beatings at the Nou Camp in recent years? That said it should be a better game than the Madrid derby last week, I agree. Yeah main reason i asked where it was because they usually get good results at Home to Barca but away to Barca they have been battered a few times. None the less it should guarantee goals at least....
  9. Now Football ‏@Now__Football In January 2009 River Plate offered Falcao to Aston Villa for £7m. Martin O'Neill decided to go with Emile Heskey instead.

  11. If today is any indication.... and the first half against Chelsea where they have looked awful without him.... They kind of are, they wont go down because of the points they have already picked up but they will struggle to get points without him. I expect them to go downhill from here quite rapidly, i mean his backup is James Tomkins
  12. Marveaux is a better AM than Ben Arfa IMO.... he understands the position better knows when to drop deep when to dribble and when to make the right pass among other things. Ben Arfa is more of an SS or Wide Forward i don't think you get the best best out of him as an AM it seems to be easier to smother him and limit how much space has. Seems more comfortable out wide too and Marveaux on that same token seems more comfortable in the middle. Anyway i don't think Marveaux will play.... i'm expecting Jonas and Tiote holding and Anita further forward with Ben Arfa, Ba and Cisse as the front 3.
  13. He's the Joe Allen of AM's.... never wants to take any risks and always looks for the easy option and yeah he's a twat.
  14. Really? i think it's quite funny watching them fail tbh
  15. Rooney is full blown AM now so it's not really 4-4-2 Every week the same, some monkey says manu play 442. Rooney is clearly the withdrawn forward working the midfield. It's strange but i think buying RVP has actually strengthened Yanited's midfield it's allowed Rooney to play a lot deeper and not just do what he has done today but back the play up and just be the playmaker of the team. Unlike the glorified SS of last season.

  17. I have thought it would be 2-2 all week and i'm sticking to that..... Balotelli is apparently starting btw
  18. Honestly if Wigan is any indication i'm not bothered anymore if Cisse can show a similar performance in regards to movement and things i mentioned before then i don't see the problem. Static movement is the issue but if both of them are roaming and linking up with those around them i don't see the issue.
  19. They haven't really missed Dempsey in my view, Berbatov coming in and the improvement in performances from Ruiz covered that loss. But Dembele they have missed and the midfield won't be as strong without him.
  20. This is the biggest problem for me.... when Ba and Cisse play in a front 3 irrelevant who the central figure is the movement, link up and interchanging with those around them and just overall understanding of the role is a million times better. Against Wigan i felt we saw Ba and Cisse's best performance of the season in regards to off the ball movement, linking up and roaming and interchanging with those around them. For example who was the one who roamed to a deep position to play Marveaux in who in turn played Bigi in for his goal? Ba. I know Cisse didn't score but i felt his movement and link up play and understanding of the role he played just like Ba whether he played on the right or the centre was great too. When doing this other players come into the equation too just like Bigi did so we are not as predictable and we are more threatening from different angles. This doesn't happen when the two of them play as a front 2 as they are both making similar runs and seem to have the understanding and off the ball movement of a couple of Heskeys. But as a front 3 whether Ba plays out wide or Cisse plays out wide there seems to be a better understanding of roles, movement seems to be better, link up seems to be better and obviously the team improves as a result. Hoping we similar to what we saw against Wigan with regards to movement, link up play and understanding of roles but with Ben Arfa thrown into the mix.
